COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This English style of beer, also known as Sweet Stout or Cream Stout, first appeared in London in the late 1800s. The early brewers touted the health benefits of the milk sugar in this beer which today relates mainly to the increased amount of calories(no real health benefitssorry). The milk sugar adds a well rounded sweetness to this dark beer and makes it an outstanding, year round stout.

Have you ever wondered what a beer chocolate milkshake would taste like? The first sip and "Beer Milkshake" was what came to mind. Even if you dont drink stouts, this one is something to try. Quite good, and very different. Even folks that "dont like beer" have been found to go for it.

Poured from 12oz bottle Balck as night with a thin light brown head awesome chocolate smell. Good for this type of beer which I will say is not my favorite.

Bottle split with a non-RB beer friend. This is a great representation of a sweet milk stout. Theres enough roasted flavor from the malts to give it a bit of chocolate/cocoa bite, but its all dominated by the milk sugar, which leaves it moderately sweet and reasonably full bodied.

This is one of my favorite beers. Its like a beer milkshake. Creamy delicious. Make sure to pour hard for a nice frothy head.

Bottle from beer52 beer club. Incredibly smooth, you can feel it slipping over your taste buds. Nice and creamy, not too dissimilar to the texture of Baileys. Lovely roasted malt finish leaves a pleasant aftertaste. Very enjoyable.

Bottle from Brewhouse & Kitchen, Bedford. Only the slightest bit of light is allowed to penetrate this very dark brown. Deep aroma of Black Forest gteau, with a hint of sweet mily coffee. The taste isnt quite as impressive although the sweetness hides the alcohol well. Alight cherry sourness in the finish. Creamy body, perfectly carbonated. A joy to consume.

Broad mocha notes followed by a sweet, lightly licorice-tinted finish. Nitro version seems a bit pointless.

Black pour with a thick, tan head and good lacing. The aroma has dark chocolate, roasted malt, and faint coffee. It has a medium body with creamy texture and average carbonation. The taste is sweet with a slightly roasted finish.
