4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Appearance: Very dark, nearly black. Love the cascading bubbles as the pint comes off the tap. Builds a majestically creamy white head at the top that sticks around forever. Some lacing, though nothing intense. Looks outstanding.
Smell: Some faint roastiness, some bitter smokiness, and some chocolate notes. Smells like a stout, not much more to say here.
Taste: Great balance between the roasty malt bitterness and a touch of chocolaty sweetness. This milk stout is not too sweet, probably because it does not have the addition of actual chocolate or other brewing adjuncts. This one has a right amount of sweetness to compliment, but not overpower, the roastiness, and makes this one drink somewhat like dessert coffee or dark chocolate mousse. Finishes sweet.
Mouthfeel: Creamy due to the nitro bubbles. Felt smooth as silk on the palate.
Overall: Exquisite smoothness from the nitro makes this balanced milk stout fantastically easy and pleasurable drinking. Would certainly buy again, especially when looking for a nice, easy-drinking stout. This beer is fantastic on-tap, and is a vast improvement over an already good bottled product.

Nitro Can. Ar: Clean roast; ashy and dry; steely herbal hops. Ap: Black and opaque; medium-large tan head; picture-perfect nitro consistency, like a mousse. T: Strong bitter-sweet cocoa; lush, milky malt alternates with cocoa; woodsy hop flavor, with a medium-high bitterness; coffee and spice--black pepper and cinnamon--linger in the finish; medium-low sweetness. P: Medium body with nitro consistency; a coating sensation; finish is dry. O: Interesting combination of a bold stout with nitrogen smoothness; firm roast and malt backbone; very colorful and complex on the palate; I like it! pintbypint (3732) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - SEP 21, 2017

Tan head and good retention. Smells of malts and chocolate, with a similar sweet taste. Full body, creamy texture with a long finish that coats your mouth a bit. Overall, a good beer dorain (483) - Berlin, GERMANY - SEP 15, 2017
Wow! Schönes dichtes Aroma und trotzdem süffig. Toll! sam_uk93 (24) - West Sussex, ENGLAND - SEP 7, 2017
Pours completely black with a small tan head. Aroma is nice sweet, slight coffee, butterscotch, vanilla, roasty. Taste is a nice sweet, slight fruity in aftertaste. Lovely mouthfeel, full bodied, coats your mouth, fantastic, has the body of an imperial! Medium-low carbonation. Overall a nice smooth. sweet stout, smells/feels better than it tastes!

Bottle. Very balanced flavor and weight for stout. No outstanding qualities, and a bit too sweet.

Very dark brown, creamy tan head. Mild coffee scent with hints of milk chocolate. Sweet malts, cocoa, a bit of mineral salt with a light bitter follow. Nice feel with light carbonation, creamy texture. Not bad but nothing special. PhillyCraft (7589) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 19, 2017
Backlog, bottle with Pat in 09, Poured hazy dark brown with a beige head. Aroma and taste are espresso, coffee cream, toffee, smoked malt, chocolate, sweet fruit, and cinnamon. Medium to thicker body. shanoknowsfood (99) - Hawaii, USA - JUL 31, 2017
Bottle @WholeFoods Looks great, taste is good, but it was a bit watery & thin...though very refreshing. Chocolaty, sweet, with a bit of mocha. Not one of my fave sweet stouts, but not bad. joe19612 (2995) - camberley, Surrey, ENGLAND - JUL 28, 2017
