Draft. Disappointed. Muddy, bitter and weak. Good name and good brewery but bad beer.

jackl (8287) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - JUL 23, 2014
Sample @ Brewvival 2014. Deep amber pour with a small head. Smoked berry and earthy malt nose. Similar flavor. Blackberry jam, compost. Toasty malt and some husky grain character. Medium body, soft carbonation.

Ratman197 (15208) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - MAR 7, 2014
On tap at Colorado Plus poured a clear dark reddish brown with a lasting tan head. Aromas of roastiness, fruitiness and light licorice. Palate was light bodied and crisp. Flavors of roastiness, caramel and light earthiness with a crisp, lingering roasty finish.

Lost... i don’t understand what they were trying to do with this beer. Felt really average across the board so thats how i rated it. I like left hand’s stuff usually but this seemed uninspired. Perhaps a more experienced taster would appreciate more than I?

Drake (14059) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - FEB 24, 2014
Kentucky Fried Charleston Trip Beer #77. Wow, seems like some people really hate this beer. I guess I’ll be breaking the trend. Draft at Brewvival. Pours a clear chestnut brown color with a thin frothy tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of dark roasted malts, bright fruits, spice. The taste is roasted malts, cherries, earth, herbal hops, chocolate. Thin-medium bodied.

DrSilverworm (9671) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - FEB 16, 2014
Taster on tap at Cincinnati Winter Beer Fest (CWBF) 2014. Dark brown, red color. Clear. Thin khaki head. Leaves thicker lace. Toasty, milk chocolate aromas. Smooth, soft, lighter carbonation. More dry finish. Light metallic notes. Moderate sweet, light bitter. Alright black ale.

swoopjones (7020) - Buffalo, New York, USA - FEB 6, 2014
draft at Coles, pretty watery, flavorless schwarzbier. light to little roastiness which is usually the dominate feature. not impressed. Munich dark was much much better

I am normally a fan of Left Hand, but it seems that they gave up in the middle of making this beer.

boozedude (2228) - Des Moines, Iowa, USA - DEC 11, 2013
