COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer is available each autumn in celebration of the great Bavarian festival season. Brewed in late spring and cellared throughout the summer, our Oktoberfest is produced through traditional methods as it has been for centuries in Germany, This copper-hued lager owes its rich malt flavor to a generous combination of select Vienna and Munich malts. Cool, open-fermentation develops a subtle elegance and drinkability suited to any festive occasion.

Not a lot going on with this beer. Simple, but good flavor and very drinkable.

Bottle at home. Pours pale to medium amber. Sweet malt aroma. Opens rich and malty. Surprising amount of hop bitterness on the finish. Somewhat unbalanced, as a result. Medium mouthfeel. Flavorful, but overly hoppy for the style, to my taste.

Sweet malty octoberfest, pretty standard overall. Does the trick for nights that are getting colder.

Aroma: malt, bread, notes of citrus and grass Taste: saturated bready flavor enhanced by malt sweetness, citrus lite sourness and grass. Bittersweet aftertaste with long trail of earthy hops ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A sweet, malty okto. Not my favorite but better than average. Just a touch of bitterness in. The finish.

12floz bottle, BBD; 11.07.2017, $1.75 unit cost, pint glass. Appears a bronze color with clarity and a thin layer of head. Aroma is toffee. Tastes somewhere between a traditional style Octoberfest and one completely Americanized - heavy on burnt toast with a note or caramel. Medium-bodied feel with a lasting bitterness that greatly affects the overall experience.

An enjoyable Oktoberfest. More hoppy than most. But it works well. Sorry, I had to upload these old ratings. They were for me, not for uploading. And also I need 75 characters, hence this sentence. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

NikkTwist (3341) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 20, 2017
UPDATED: SEP 20, 2017 Draft at Macs. Slightly hazy amber pour. Fizzy off-white foam. Caramel bready base with some bright citrus hop notes. Honey sweet clementines. Chocolate chip bagels. Not in any way a true German marzen but works well enough. Balanced.

Bottle. Caramel malt aroma with notes of toffee, toasted malt and spicy hops. Pours clear caramel colored with a thin off white head that has good retention and lacing. Starts with caramel and toasted malt flavors. Finishes smooth with toffee malt sweetness and some spicy hop notes. Pretty nice Oktoberfest.

3.3
troopie (2439) - Munchen an der Willamette, Oregon, USA - SEP 15, 2017
Draught. Pours amber with white head. Fairly balanced body with sweet malt. Some sugariness in the finish.
