This beer is available each autumn in celebration of the great Bavarian festival season. Brewed in late spring and cellared throughout the summer, our Oktoberfest is produced through traditional methods as it has been for centuries in Germany, This copper-hued lager owes its rich malt flavor to a generous combination of select Vienna and Munich malts. Cool, open-fermentation develops a subtle elegance and drinkability suited to any festive occasion.

Not a lot going on with this beer. Simple, but good flavor and very drinkable.

Ronritter (652) - Blaine, Minnesota, USA - DEC 16, 2016
12 oz bottle pours clear copper with very small head no lacing to speak of. Faint smell of pumpkin and malt, taste is better than I thought it would be crisp and slightly sweet bitter aftertaste but I like it.

From the bottle. Grassy aroma golden copper color wit a medium thick cream colored head. Malty flavor is quickly overcome by the hops. Hop bitterness lingers.

UPDATED: DEC 11, 2016 Slightly alcoholic taste. Dark in color. Thick for a lager. Smooth to the palate, with a crisp finish.

chinchill (4928) - South Carolina, USA - NOV 5, 2016
12 oz bottle. The deep amber colored body has excellent clarity and a moderate size, semi-durable head. Minimal lacing. The aroma is hoppy for style but the flavor has a typical hop/malt balance. Overall: a solid, mainstream marzen.

Hiledd (116) - Massachusetts, USA - NOV 2, 2016
Malt and pumpkin aroma, clear copper color. Thin to medium body for style, dissipates quickly, stronger start than finish. Pumpkin, toffee, and caramel flavor. Could use a bit more body and finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from Whole Foods, Tenleytown. Reddish amber body with tiny white head. Nose is malty, toasty, caramel. Taste is caramel, malts and spices. Slightly sticky and spicy in the finish.

Deep Amber red color. Very sweet malty mouth with apricot and oranges and not a marzen. Very new world and in interesting

This is a pretty decent American Oktoberfest. It’s a bit on the sweet side, strong and heavy, but does have a pretty nice toasty/raisiny malt quality to it--even verging on a bit roasty. It’s quite bitter in the finish and slightly metallic but not so much it really ruins your day. Dry this out, tame the ABV a bit, fix the slight flaws and you got yourself a really good beer.

From a 12 oz. bottle. Pours a clear amber with an ecru head. Malty nose. Nutty flavors, caramel flavors. Smooth finish.

Amber brew with small fast fading head. Smell and taste is dominated by caramelized malts but it is not overly sweet as I first thought it was going to be. Really good brew that I am enjoying today and will buy this one again next year.
