Bottle, thanks to larsniclas. Amber color, quite nice beige head. Burnt sugar in aroma, bready and with caramel notes. Chocolate flavor, roasted, some spices. Oakes (17684) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - OCT 4, 2008
Golden-brown and bright. Toasty, lightly caramelly with hints of chocolate. Smooth caramelly and slightly earthy palate. Decent, if a little sweet. TBone (17544) - Pori, FINLAND - DEC 26, 2008
Bottled (LOT 16/07/08). Thanks oh6gdx. Deep clear amber color, small off-white head. Typical a bit caramelly, rye bready Märzen aroma. Quite caramelly malty, some bready and toasted notes. Suprisingly quite Vienna-like (and dunkler bock) flavor instead of Märzen. Sweetness covers alcohol, feels much less than 6 %. Less hops than in many American oktoberfestbiers. On tap at flying saucer. Pours a clear copper with a thick creamy off white head with good sticky lacing along the glass. The aroma is a sweet malt with toast and light caramel. Medium mouthfeel with a bready malt with spicy grain and a nice bitter dry finish. Easy to drink, a very good marzen from left hand. Tmoney99 (14492) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - SEP 4, 2007
Bottle. Poured dark amber color with an average frothy off-white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate toasted sweet malt aroma. Medium body. Medium balanced flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - NOV 16, 2002
UPDATED: OCT 25, 2006 (10/25/06) Crystal clear copper body with small but creamy beige head. Aroma is medium sweet, caramel, cookie, some floral, light earthy. Taste is medium sweet, earthy, some caramel, medicinal. Light-medium body, some acidity. Better than the first time I tried it, but that’s not saying much. (6/3/4/3/9)

(11/16/02) Cloudy rusty copper body with a small tan head. Aroma is moderately caramel, as well as some toastiness. Taste begins sweet, but finishes intensely lemon sour. Not pleasant, though I wonder if it was mishandled, ’cause my description bears little resemblance to anyone else’s. (5/2/3/1/6)
12 oz. bottle from Wine Warehouse bottled 08.27.08. Red color with a thin head that disappears almost immediately. Boring and faint grainy aroma with some subtle caramel notes. Very grainy taste with a nutty and leafy vibe going on. Some caramel and fruit notes as well. Medium bodied. Overall and very underwhelming oktoberfest. Draught at Left Hand. Pours mahagony with a spotty, edgy tan head and lined lacing. Caramel sour malt (hay, straw) and yeast (sweat) aroma. Caramel malt bitter hop flavor with an acidic malty finish. Medium bodied and clean refreshing palate.
