This is a decent brew, and perhaps a little underrated. A little hop bite, with a little sweetness and malt. It is thin, but I think that’s what makes it a good session beer. Drink the whole bomber yourself. Quixote18 (236) - Johnson City, Tennessee, USA - DEC 4, 2005
On draft. Slightly rocky off- white head that mostly diminishes. Nice lacing, especially for a medium-bodied beer. It was clean and well hopped. Try it with your favorite pizza! Likerighteous (120) - Pflugerville, Texas, USA - DEC 2, 2005
Serendipitous, indeed. Clear caramel color , medium head. Well balanced and a bit on the sweet side. Transparent hops, slick in the throat. Easy to drink. Would make a nice transitional beer for those willing to move on from Shiner Bock. DrBayern (1139) - Morehead City, North Carolina, USA - NOV 22, 2005
Clear copper, medium off white head. Sweet estery aroma. Medium mouthfeel, very light carbonation. Sweet caramel with a hint of grass or hay. Very lightly bittered. Something about the flavor of this just didn’t suit me. BückDich (5464) - McCall, Idaho, USA - NOV 18, 2005
UPDATED: NOV 19, 2005 Light carbonation, thin head and mild lacing. Not a very polychromatic beer; boring amber color throughout. The nose has a caramel corn/mixed nut holiday pack aroma with some toffee. The flavor is a bit bland with mild sweetness and earthy malt and fruity hops. Finishes medium bodied, a bit watery with nothing in the tail that really makes this memorable.

Bottle: Courtesy of robertsreality via trade. Aroma has notes of cookie dough, caramel, and the slightest hints of citrus. Pours a transparent reddish-orange with a small off-white ring for a head. Very matly up front. Lots of caramel and cookie dough. Finishes with some light flowery bitterness. robertsreality (2460) - Minnesota, USA - NOV 7, 2005
Copper Coloring with White Ring. Light Hoppy Aroma. Easy Going Malty Taste and Equally Subtle Hops. Dry Finish. legion242 (2348) - Richardson, Texas, USA - OCT 22, 2005
A pretty nice little ale. Not quite to an ESB level, but very drinkable with mild hops. Scubatrip (610) - Annandale, Virginia, USA - OCT 20, 2005
Pours a semi-hazy red from the bottle, head is bubbly white and slowly dissipates. Deep caramel malt aroma. Light tastes of the same, some a little-too-sweet caramel. Not half bad though. DarkElf (3062) - La Jolla, California, USA - OCT 16, 2005
(12 oz bottle: Hi-Time Wine Cellars in Costa Mesa, CA) A tall, off-white head builds atop the bright amber and hazy body, and is showing excellent retention. The nose is fruity and lightly hoppy, and shows a hint of sourness, but isn’t especially aromatic. The flavor is also pretty light and easy, not aggressive in any area, showing nice balance between mildly sweet pale malts, fruit, and mildly bitter hops. Light-medium bodied, gently carbonated, and smooth and soft on the palate. And even now that I’ve downed most of this beer, a thin head is still providing a full cover and lots of delicate lace is decorating the glass. Nothing to rave about, it’s just a simple, easy drinking brew.
