3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Nitro bottle had nice cooper color with quickly evaporating tan head. Malt flavor with hops in the background. Taste is well rounded and easy drinking ale.
Pours a clear amber with a medium, off white head. The mellow aroma is very bready. There are some lighter floral hops, and is mildly toasted. I find hints of caramel as well. The taste is more dry than anything. Its also just a bit sweet. The flavor remains very bready. A heavier caramel comes through now with with a strong nutty compliment. Long and lingering caramel aftertaste. Due to this being only 5.3%, I was surprised that this was full in body. It has a chewy texture and average carbonation. I don’t see anything very exciting to report about this one. BeerViking (4712) - Brentford, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 4, 2017
Creamy nose, full bodied and malty, light spicy character, but smooth and smooth, more like a cream ale. Korcz (3375) - Warsaw, POLAND - APR 17, 2017

Tap at Mother Kelly’s, 9th March 17. Pours brown, aroma is malt, bread, slight spice. Taste is malty, some hop, quite nice flavour. Not bad migwell (365) - Massachusetts, USA - MAR 8, 2017
The mysterious ESB style. Haven’t had many, never liked any. I bought this thinking it was a nitro, which may have improved things somewhat... but it isn’t. Aroma of lemon and malt, bottle into nonic, no foam, low carbonation, kind of flat, dull orange look to it. Flavor is not exciting at all, bland, flat, weak... I do get the hard water thing. Have to say, based on limited experience, that I just don’t care for this style of beer. Of course, if I was once again cycle touring in England and this was what was on at the local, I’d have no trouble hoisting a few. Inoffensive, but far from exceptional.

Keg at Mother Kelly’s. It pours a clean golden color with a small white head. Aroma is pale bread, light oats, malts, grassy hops. Taste holds some more faint grassy hops and biscuity malts. Medium bodied with good carbonation. Overall, meh RhetoricalAns (931) - Red Deer, Alberta, CANADA - MAR 4, 2017
Pint. Amber poor woth a thin white head- poor retention. Aroma of herbal / grassy hops, caramel. Taste is balanced. Flavours are light malt not a lot of hop flavours. Fine. mcberko (17339) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 26, 2017
On tap at St. Augustine’s, pours a clear copper orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out bready malt, a touch of toasted caramel and light hop resins. Flavour is very restrained, with subtle notes of resinous hops and toasted malt. Solid balance, just missing oomph. schavuitje (250) - APELDOORN, NETHERLANDS - JAN 27, 2017
The aroma has a citrus hint but is faint. The appearance is a clear amber with a very thing cream head. Taste is mild maybe a little weak. Easy to drink, overall meh....
