COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The usually peaceful St. Vrain River snakes out of the Rocky Mountains, winding mischievously towards our brewery. Named after Ceran St. Vrain, an 1800s trapper and trader in the valley, St. Vrain is our version of a classic Belgian Tripel. Light in color and lightly hopped using Celeia hops, a touch of malt sweetness contrasts the warm spiciness hidden within. What at first appears benevolent can manifest into a mighty serpent in waiting.

Bottle. Aroma has light hay and grain for the malts, herbs and grass for hops dough for the yeast, and a fruitiness like pineapple. Head is white, foamy/creamy, fully lasting and has fair lacing. Color is clear gold with small particles. Flavor starts moderately sweet and lightly acidic, and the finish is moderately acidic and lightly bitter. Palate is light to medium, creamy and has a lively carbonation. An okay tripel, there a much better ones out there.

From bottle, no 6 at Papsoes blindtasting. Pours hazy orange and with a lacing white head. Yeasty and almost dough like aroma. Slight citric. Flavour is sweet caramel malty and with a slight yeasty note, somewhat classic belgian triple yet light. Finish holds a continued soft yeasty and caramel flavour lingering into the finish with a bit of bitterness.

Bottled. Cloudy golden appearance with a low white foma. Sweet yeasty and estery aroma of banana, canned oranges, cloves and all-spice. Full-bodied with a sweet flavour of vanned oranges, pine-apples and over-riped banana. Drier finish of pepper, grass and alcohol. A bit sweet bit the aftertaste saves this beer.

Bottle shared with mds, HogTownHarry, blankboy and tupalev - HogTownHarrys bottle. Hazy golden-yellow with a fluffy white head. Aroma of orange zest, yeas, spice and a fair bit of booze. Flavour - banana, yeast, clove and booze. Came across more like an alcoholic weisse than a tripel. Meh.
