Sane or senseless? Harmless or harmful? Sometimes it takes awhile to get to know a stranger. Initial impressions are not always reality, so you must delve deeper. Beyond the initial floral hop aromas, malt sweetness is revealed, yet with a spicy undertone that exposes a very rye sense of humor. Take your time to get to know the Stranger. It’s strangely satisfying.

Bottle to pint glass. I can’t really tell the color, as this is a green mason jar. I think it’s a clear yellow. Has an off white head, with good lacing. Has a funny corn odor to it. Mouthfeel isn’t too bad. It’s kinda like a rye ale. Light to medium body.

Very common pale ale here. slight orange tinged yellow color. Aroma is orange, sour grapefruit and grass. Slight citrus hop taste. Watery mouth-feel with not very crisp carbonation. Forgettable.

esjaygee (3904) - Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 9, 2011
Milky yellow with a thin white head that fades into a ring around the brewski. Aroma is very floral with citrus, bready malt and grains. Taste is right down the middle with floral and grassy hops, caramel and minor bitterness.

jcr (2705) - Jasper, Indiana, USA - OCT 8, 2011
Bottle. Light gold with a frothy white head, mostly diminishing. The aroma shows notes of resin, toasted grain, bread. The flavor is lightly to moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. The finish is lightly sweet and moderately bitter. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. A thin beer with not a lot of depth or character. Taste of citrus and grain and they leave an off taste in the finish. Below average APA.

garrison (812) - Cin. city, Ohio, USA - SEP 29, 2011
From a twelve ounce bottle purchased at "Ludlow Wines" in Cincinnati, Ohio - Alright, I like my IPA’s and wanted to really like this one, but it came in dead last. The brew poured golden fluid with a rapidly fading white head and an extremely faint aroma. Tastewise, this was more like an overnighted lager than a true IPA... where’s the ciyrus/hoppy blast? The blasting bitterness? Still drinkable, but not great.

Bottle pours a clear gold with a thin off white head. Scent is light citrus. Taste is grainy. Boring

patrick767 (4063) - fort wayne, Indiana, USA - SEP 26, 2011
bottle - This brew has an aroma of citrus and pine hops. The flavor is similar with a good balance of sweet malt. This medium bodied brew has moderately bitter and overall is a solid pale ale.

zizzybalubba (1869) - Raleigh, North Carolina, USA - SEP 25, 2011
12 oz. bottle from Total Wine in Norfolk, VA. Hazy orange pour with a nearly white head. Aroma of tangerine and lemons with some caramel sweetness to balance. The hop flavor is obvious but very understated. Lemon zest and tangerines are the most obvious flavors yet despite the citrus flavor there is a floral and spicy finish. I think pale ale is the best category for this beer but it certainly does not define the style very well. Nothing at all offensive about this one but nothing very memorable either. Just ok.

FishBizkit (234) - Camp Hill, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 24, 2011
Clear dark gold pour. Foamy, pale head dissipates quickly to a nice lace. Fair aroma of citrus hops & light malt. Taste is fair. nice hop with a slight malt sweetness. Ends dry and grapefruit bitter.
