See me blow out your teapot. I’m from the Chinese era Qing. Big batch of bad-ass brew, I will make you sing. Women on the left of me, men on my right. Ain’t got no corn, ain’t got no rice. I’m just malty nice. Cause I’m TNT. Sometimes you’re not in the mood for what everyone else is having. -The Brewers at Left Hand -The Crew at the Tea Spot TNT Weizen Doppelbock with Lapsang Souchong Tea

Pours a dark brown. Moderate tan head that dissipates quickly. Aroma and flavor are all smoke, all the time. I don’t get any tea flavors. Just a lot of waht tastes like mesquite smoke. I really wanted to like this one, but it was just way too one-dimensional. Disappointing.

22oz bottle. Poured a dark brown color with an off white head. Caramel, toastiness, some smoke, and some meat.

Dark brown with thin, gassy head. Aroma offers some sweet, caramel malts at first before the smokey tea comes through. Reasonably thick, smooth texture. Flavour is like malty, sweet, smokey tea. Strange.

"what an odd duck this one is. didn’t know the tea in this beer was smoked (and heavily so). the doppelbock made no appearance, but the aroma was an odd/interesting mix of smoke, tea, banana, and clove, with the smoke being the main player in aroma and flavor. it was a bit much for me...7 oz was nice but i would not have been able or willing to finish the bomber myself. "

Aroma of malt, wheat, banana, chocolate, smoked bacon, and some taste I can’t identify so it must be the tea. Flavour is malty sweetness, quite sweet, with a smokey finish. I’m not terribly crazy about this, but it is definitely an interesting brew.

Pour is pitch black with a tan head. Smell is malty and coffee. Taste is sweet and malty with a little bitterness. Leaves a bitter aftertaste.

Rated on 12-31-2011 (Bottled on 02/16/11) This beer pours a small very fizzy tan head that is mostly diminishing, opaque dark brown body, fizzy, fast rising carbonation, and no lacing. The aroma is malt, chocolate and sweet. The flavor is sweet and in my face MALTY, MALT, MALTY, and MALTY. What the heck?? The mouthfeel is lively and this beer is light-medium bodied. I thoroughly enjoy malty tasting beer, but this is way too much! So much that it ended up being a drainpour. I don’t know if this is a bad bottle or not, but bye, bye.

WTF?! why does it taste and smell like a rauchbier?! is it the tea? is it supposed to be that smoky? ugh, this was a mess. drain pour.

wisdomsolo (472) - St Petersburg, Florida, USA - DEC 29, 2013
Smelled ok but the flavor was big BBQ. Weird! After multiple swallows the bbqness almost goes away.
