A solid imperial stout. Fresh and velvet consistency makes its medium mouthfeel and sappy finish fun. Not an incredible range of tastes but overal an enjoyable beer for the money Prometheus (160) - Bamberg, Bavaria, GERMANY - OCT 8, 2006
This stout was a very nice treat. It had a great and complex flavor that went down very smooth. The strong stout taste came through very clearly. There were various different nuances to the taste, including cream, cocoa and molasses. Overall, a very pleasant beer to drink. michael-pollack (4959) - King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 7, 2006
Draught at Brewery: Armoa of cream, toffee, and roast. Poured dark brown. Opaque. Brown head lasted. Good lacing. Flavor of alcohol, choclate, cream, and sugar. Sweet. Long finish. Medium body. Soft carbonation. Overall, a good Imperial Stout. rickgordon (3878) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - OCT 6, 2006
Dark brown, poor head. Prune and chocolate dominate the aroma. Dried fruits overall. Not as darkish in aroma as "the regular Impy". Full bodied, with light coffee, cocoa and molasses. Bit roasty. Marsiblursi (3083) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - OCT 4, 2006
UPDATED: OCT 7, 2006 (Bottle) Pours dark brown with allmost no head. Roasted light aroma with chocolate ice cream and some liquorice. Mocca, rasiny hops and shellfish hints. Salty, strong liquorice flavour with coffee. Peppery with some alcohol. Medium, burned body.

A very nice head. Black/violet of color. The aroma is filled with dark chocolat, coffee and hops. Sparkling and alcohol at my tongue. The taste is malty and with hops. GreatLibations (1854) - Last Supper, Arizona, USA - SEP 11, 2006
Pours thick black brown w/ a shallow tan froth. Aromas of deep chocolate cake. Full nectar w/ soft creamy effers. Flavors are big on sweet cocoa w/ coffee, creamed leather, black cherry, toasty caramel, charcoal, and roasted walnuts. The cocoa has a fresh, bright bitterness that slowly settles in. Decadent and very soft w/ a nice bittering finish. Alcohol is well hidden. Overall: this specimen is of a more true chocolate character than others in it’s genre. I liked it but it can’t compete with the greats. legion242 (2348) - Richardson, Texas, USA - SEP 3, 2006
Black as black can be. No head. Very, very smooth and the aclohol is CIA quality. I can’t taste it to save my life, which will be dangerous when I decide to have another. A quality American IS. MPA (999) - Amager (form. Nørrebro&Aalborg), DENMARK - SEP 1, 2006
Bottle (thx Morten). Dark with a dense beige head. Chocolate and malts combined with a hint of spices in aroma. Chocolate, slight coffee flavour with a nice, subtle bitterness and a warm sensation down the throat. Thick and pleasant. Nice after dinner beer. unixweb (237) - Sherman, Texas, USA - AUG 30, 2006
Almost black brew, hardly any light comes through this at all! Not a lot of head, but what there is lasts well! The aroma is sweet, somewhat malty with chcolate notes. The flavor is similar to the aroma, but more intense, with some dryness and a LOT of malty, coffee/molasses-like sweetness! It finishes clean, with no harsh aftertaste. Oh...the alcohol...it’s definitely in there, so be prepared! I like this one, and though it isn’t great, it’s well above average and I just might try it again!
