CBF07 sample from 22 oz bottle. Pours dark brown with a whuite head. Aroma of dark coffee. Flavour is chocolate and coffee, some hops, but nothing that brakes the dark notes. UPDATED: JAN 26, 2008 Bottle Stockholm Beer Festival ... Deep black ... lots of deep roast malt nose ... sweet slightly meaty ... quite fruity ... rich roast malts ... little bitter bite ... little spice ... little spirit burn .omhper (25713) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - FEB 25, 2002
tk2 Bottle at home .... Mouth feel is a bit too fizzy for what i expect for a Stout ... Rich roast malt nose ... full flavour rich sweet but a bit over spirity 4.0 ->3.5 This is a good exaple of a beer that needed a bigger sample to truly get its measure. While wonderfully rich the Alcohol shows through too much to be a world class beer. and for my money id rather drink their milk stout.
Very black. Salty, full bodied & tasty. A true imperial stout.

4th December 2008. Nose of marmite and a little chocolate. Smooth with a little minerally effervescence to start. This is followed by a little fruit and coca cola. Next is an aniseed - licorice tone. Finished with a slightly roasted malt and a small amount of coffee. Complex and unusual.
