This English-style Barleywine is fermented and aged for ten months and dry hopped for two months prior to packaging to give it a smooth mouth feel rarely found in the bitter American barleywines. Its copper color is the result of twelve house of boiling to caramelize the sugars and we also add five varieties of hops during an additional two hour boil. As you can see and taste, we brew this beer with the highest level of quality in mind. Please enjoy this warming barleywine with its warming flavors and hint of peat very responsibly. Malts: Pale, Crystal, Peated. Hops: Magnum, Centennial, Northern Brewer, Cascade, Tettnanger, East Kent Goldings, Fuggles. 70 IBUs.

Beautiful orange to light amber color; the head reduces into a thin creamy cap. Very nice aroma, malty, sweet, with a clear apricot touch. Full bodied, with a good malt flavor; quite sweet but less than I expected, with a touch of oak vanilla that is particularly appreciated; all complemented by a fairly strong bitterness (but less than the American habit suggests), and with a lot of toffee in the end, too. Straight but balanced Barley Wine; I would describe it more as a Strong Belgian Ale with an apricot and vanilla touch (as its less malty and sticky than a Barley Wine in my mind); very very good.

RBESG08 grand tasting. Smells of a strong malty beer, some US hop. A bit sickly maybe. Lots of hops. Lots of malt and hops which are a tad unbalanced maybe.

Golden-amber colour. Toasty, peachy aroma. Clean with light tropical fruit esters. Smokey, a bit thin, with light breadcrust. Accents of leaf and earth.

Hoppy and citrus aroma. Reddish amber with small white head. Complex blend of flavors that was more hoppy then other barleywines I have tasted. Finsh was long on hops and alcohol.
