Strong notes of wood and wine, dark brown with no head, medium body, a bit oily, again woody and wine with more dark and red fruits...quite good.

Pours black with low tan head. Aroma of red wine barrels, coffee, dried fruit. Taste is sweet, chocolate and sugar, followedby a lightly tarty and berry sour finish. It works, though. Body is rich and smooth with soft carbonation.

Keg Third of a Pint at BrewDog, Shepherds Bush, London in April 2016 - Very Dark Brown in colour. Small beige head. Very Malty; roasty malts, roast coffee, dark chocolate, liquorice, oaky. Fruity; some dark fruits. Spicy; peppery. Warming alcohol. Smooth, oily and syrupy. Sweet roast coffee chocolate malty and fruity throughout. Very drinkable for ABV. Enjoyed this. Lovely Impy Stout! That’ll be me 20K then @ ChrisO’s. Thanks to Danny. Opaque dark brown beer, good dark tan head. Palate is airy, semi dry and has decent fine carbonation. Rich dark malts, good dark chocolate. A little spice. Decent burgundy fruits, some dried fruits as well. Light semi dry finish. Mild alcohol spice lingers on.

Bottle split at Kenny 20K, thanks to Daniel, 15/01/16.
Black with a decent tan covering.
Nose is big on coffee grinds, chocolate, light spice, black pepper.
Taste comprises more big coffee notes, toffee fudge, light charr, black pepper, roast malt, chocolate.
Medium + body, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a sweet’n’sour tingle.
Solid impy stout ... good coffee vibes ... didn’t pick up the barrel much but hey ho - would definetely revisit.

Light sours coming up, citrus fruits, lemon and lime, toasted malts, light coffee, cacao and milk chocolate. Very nice Imperial Stout, great chocolate and citrus fruit flavors. Bottle shared at Kenny’s 20K tasting - London. Many thanks to Daniel for this one! Pours deep brown with a creamy tan head. Rich coffee in the aroma, some earthy notes. Medium sweet flavour with lots of bittersweet chocolate, hints of dark fruits. Full bodied, chewy, with fine carbonation. Warming finish, sticky, with heavy cocoa character and some earthy bitterness. Nice one.
