Bottle from Table and Vine. Brown with eggshell head and a little lace. Cocoa and plummy raisiny fruit aroma. Sweet cocoa plummy fruit raisin with basically no bitterness and lingering mild chocolate and fruit. Medium light body cloying. Weak-ass. Drain pour. Even my unfussy brother rejected it. 22oz bottle. Pours dark brown, almost black with a tan head. Big malt bomb of sweetness. As with most Lefty’s seemed kind of on the thin side. OK but not quite what I was hoping for, altonbrownd (5897) - Chevy Chase, Maryland, USA - JUL 13, 2013

Not too many of these around, especially from regional brewers. A bold addition to the local palate, this beer embraces its past and moves it carefully forward, inviting its drinker to explore its cousins and then come home to reaffirm how well Lefty’s has done.
