COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The is a pretty beer almost an amber/brown color. A well balanced beer that is great for the summer months. Unlike the porter, this is the beer that put them on the map.

Bottle at Mekong, Richmond. Pours a clear brown color with a small but thick white head, minimal lacing. Aroma is mild: hazel nuts and caramel. Flavor is mild and overall weak. Slight lactic tang in the finish.

Bottle - Hoppy, dry, nutty flavor to this one. For me this is one of my go to favorite beers to drink on a regular basis. I love the slight bit and flavor on this one.

Caramel and stale fruit. Some burned sugar. At least it looked brown... Tried this at the DC beerfest with Jess, Mark, and Matt in 2014.

Bierkrug (2129) - - MAY 21, 2014
355 ml bottle in Vienna, VA. Pours a dark brown with a creamy tan head that lingers. Aroma is molasses, caramel, bread, malty notes. Its pretty light, and the taste is exactly like the aroma, very drinkable, but nothing really stands out to me about this beer. Palate is smooth.

queenholly (3623) - South Whitley, Indiana, USA - MAY 11, 2014
Bottle. Lightly sweet, toasty nutty malt aroma. Clear chestnut with a large off-white head, suspended flocculation. Nutty toasty caramel malt flavor. Body on the light side of medium, average carbonation.

nearbeer (5561) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - APR 24, 2014
Pint on tap at Norfolk Tap Room. Clear darkish copper brown with a small topping of cream. Mild aroma of dry cocoa, toast and a touch of citrus. Flavor is toasted nut, caramel, cocoa and a touch of citrus. Light-medium body has medium carbonation and a nice balance.

3.2
aleichter (31) - - APR 22, 2014
Nice brown color and a relatively easy to drink brown ale. Not the most interesting or strong aroma.
