COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The is a pretty beer almost an amber/brown color. A well balanced beer that is great for the summer months. Unlike the porter, this is the beer that put them on the map.

Bottle. The pour was a clear medium brown with a large (2-3 finger) foamy head that was mostly diminishing and had fair lacing. The aroma was light of roasted cereal malts and a lightly sweet leathery yeast with hints of milk chocolate, coffee and a touch of molasses. The taste was mildly sweet with just a hint of chocolate and a pinch of molasses from the onset and finished with a slightly bitter chocolate-coffee flavor that lasted an average amount of time after the swallow. Mouthfeel was somewhere between light and medium in body and a bit watery in texture with a mild carbonation. Overall a mild tasting and well balanced Brown Ale that possessed an excellent drinkability.

Draft at Yard House-Springfield. Normal looking pour, faint aroma, then goes horribly wrong in the taste. Metallic bitterness, cola sweetness. Not sure what this is supposed to be, but not very good. No drains nearby....

Pours clear brown with a quickly-dissipating off-white head. Looks nice enough, though the aromas and flavors are best described as light - light caramel and nutty aromas, similar light flavors with a touch of sweetness. Hints of hops on the finish. Very drinkable, balanced style.

bottle @ Beer Run / Charlottesville VA --- Clear dark brown color, smooth 1" beige head, streaks of lace. Taste is nutty malt that adds light carbonation and hops on the swallow. Very simple, not as sweet as one might expect. but not hoppy, either. Meh.

Good brown ale that converted my son who is not usually a fan. Tasty with nice aftertaste. Looks good and tastes good. Mellow beer that goes well with a meal. Recommend for cooler days and nights.

Draft sample at Cherry Blossom Beer & Wine fest, red-hued brown color with off-white head. Aroma notes of light roasted malt sweetness, some nuttiness and faint coffee. Taste adds caramel, molasses and bread. Light-medium body, moderate carbonation, sticky with light roast finish. Nice brown ale.

Large mug off the tap, Aroma- Has a strong malts aroma and maybe a slight coffee aroma at the edges. Appearance- This beer is a dark brown color with red highlights when viewed through the bars neon!! Legend Brown Ale has a white head Taste- Has a really good malt flavor that I didnt expect. It went down really smooth. Palate- This is a medium bodied beer with a low carbonation with an oily feel. Overall- A really good beer from Legend. I will definitely drink this again.
