First off- this beer has chocolate added. If you don’t like that then you won’t like whatever this beer tastes like. This beer is seriously underrated. Finally a beer where the chocolate flavor does not seem out of place, but blends in well. A goodcompliment to their regular porter.
Tap. Pours clear mahogany, large creamy tan head, good lacing. Aroma is cocoa roast, fa she chocolate. Huh. Flavor is fully sweet, light bitter, really artificial. Ick. Medium body, creamy mouthfeel. raymow (1789) - Bensalem, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 26, 2016

Mild aroma of malt, pours a dark brown with a thick tan well laced head. Watery feel with a mild chocolate and coffee flavor. Chocolate malt finish fluffy (2461) - St Petersburg, Florida, USA - DEC 6, 2014
Thin and watery with almost no chocolate flavor or aroma. Hardly representative of the name.

Poured from bomber into a pint glass
Appearance – Pours a deep brown nearly black color with a big billowy tan head. The head fades relatively quickly leaving only a light level of lace on the sides of the glass
Smell- The aroma is quite heavy of roasted malt and a semi sweet chocolate smell. Mixed with these aromas are some sweeter caramel and vanilla aromas as well as the lightest touch of a nutty smell.
Taste – The taste begins with a roasted malt and cocoa flavor. As the flavor moves on it sweetens more as flavors of a caramel sweetness and vanilla enter the taste. These bring a more milk chocolate like flavor to the tongue. Toward the end however, the chocolate flavors of the brew grow even stronger bringing back a more cocoa and less milk chocolate flavor to the tongue. In the end, with a light hop flavor of a earthy nature and a light nutty flavor coming to the tongue, a lightly bittered semi-sweet chocolate flavor is left to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel- The body of the beer is on the average side in terms of its creaminess and thickness with a carbonation level that is slightly on the lower side. The lower carbonation accentuates the dark roasted flavors as well as the chocolate flavors rather nicely, although a slightly thicker body may have enhanced these even more.
Overall- A rather tasty and sweeter chocolate porter. While not the most potent or flavorful overall it is rather easy to drink and quite satisfying. Not bad.

Bottle share thanks to Homer, that exploded all over my counter. Pours black, tan head. Way over carbonated. Aroma is malty, muted. Taste is light, watered down, a bit bitter. Homer321 (5192) - Melboring, Florida, USA - MAY 3, 2014
Bottle via trade. Loud hiss when opened followed by a large foam snake that sneaks out if the bottle. A touch carbonated. Not much chocolate really. Ugh. Meh. Beergeek23322 (2643) - Chester, Virginia, USA - NOV 17, 2013
11/16/2013. On tap at the brewery. Pours mahogany with a tan head. Aromas of dark roasted malt, chocolate, dark fruit. Chocolate and coffee flavors. dmac (6463) - Toms River, New Jersey, USA - MAY 27, 2013
22oz bomber via trade. Poured a medium to slightly thin dark black body with a foamy beige head that quickly fades off the center and leaves a slick around the edges. Aroma is dusty grains, light hint of chocolate powder, medium toast, saw dust, condensed milk powder. Thinner watery body with stingy carbonation and a quick fading aftertaste. Flavor is on the weak side with notes of light chocolate, medium to well done toast, milk, cocoa beans on the finish. Blah, glad I didn’t share this one. msante79 (2244) - Mount Prospect, Illinois, USA - OCT 1, 2012
Bomber from Kinz. Pours dark brown with tan head. Roasted malts, chocolate, and some tart cherries. Flavors of roast with chocolate and a bit of tart fruit. Body is fine and did not find it to be over carbonated. Don’t know if it was meant to have a bit of a tart note, but it works quite well.
