22 oz. Bottle. Aroma- Citrusy and floral hop aroma. Appearance-Some sweet caramel. Deep amber with a red tint. Modest off white head. Taste- Piney citrusty flavor from hops. Some caramel poking through. Very bitter all the way through. Not a bad IPA. dpento1 (236) - Virginia, USA - MAR 20, 2011
Pours a dark ruby amber, with a small beige head. Big fruity-hop aroma! Flavor is moderately sweet with pine, grapefruit, and caramel. Lasting bitterness in the finish. Overall, well balanced, but the flavor didn’t quite compare with the aroma. I’d still buy another bottle! alexsdad06 (10268) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JAN 21, 2011
22oz bottle courtesy of ksurkin (thanks!). Pours a nice dark copper color with a medium sized off white head. The aroma is of caramel, citrus, floral, pine, somewhat spicy and grapefruit. The flavor has a nice balnce between the sweet caramel malt and the floral, fruity citrus featuring grapefruit. Bitterness in the finish increases as it warms. Body is a touch thin. potbeerjob (1343) - Denver, Colorado, USA - AUG 29, 2010
Bomber. Copper orange with big, bubbly, of- white, lasting, lacy head. Aroma is pine sticky and mango grapefruit and a variety of other sweeter fruits. Flavor follows but now grapefruit takes the lead role. A whole lot of malt backbone but mostly hops shine threw, setting the feel with a chewy texture and a big bitter citrus bite. Huge IPA. Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Poured clear copper color with an average frothy white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate to heavy earth hop aroma. Medium body with slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy bitter flavor with a medium to heavy bitter finish of moderate to long duration. My expectations where exceeded.

22 oz. Bottle. Poured a copper color with a small white head. Big hoppy aroma. You get a big bite of hops in the beginning, then some grapefruit citrusy taste. zizzybalubba (1862) - Raleigh, North Carolina, USA - MAY 3, 2010
22 oz. bottle from Total Wine in Newport News, VA (not sure of the exact bottling on this but it does say 16th Anniversary and it was stocked at the store on March 2, 2010). 7% ABV. Dark orange pour with a thick, creamy off-white head. Aroma is moderately hoppy with notes of floral hops and some caramel malt sweetness. The flavor has a good amount of piney hop bitterness but is certainly balanced with a fair helping of malt (possibly too much for my taste). A good IPA. This beer has truly grown on me. I had it the first time about 2 months ago, and subsequently have been drinking it every week since. This is a great hopped beer. Not huge alc burn or flavor, but has a very pleasant warming sensation. Nose is sweet and grapefriuty (is that the amarillo?) Medium, to low carbonation. But the flavor is wonderfully balanced, with a very enjoyable lingering sweetness and bitterness from the hops. One of the best beers they have done. Good job. Pours rust/copper with an off white head. Smells of resin, spicy, floral. Tastes spicy and bitter with a resiny finish. rflambert (5) - Virginia, USA - JUN 13, 2009 does not count
Very bitter...easy start but very strong finish...you can tell they they best at brewing "hoppy" beers but I could see this beer getting better over time...
