Pours a clear dark gold body with a one finger wispy white head. The nose is citrusy hops with a light caramel malt base. The flavor is a bit husky and grainy under the caramel sweetness. Lightly citrusy hoppiness. Not a big winner as far as my preference in the style goes.

altonbrownd (5898) - Chevy Chase, Maryland, USA - MAR 26, 2016
Bottle from Chevy Chase Wine and Liquors. Dark amber body with big, soapy head. Nose is hoppy but also caramel and plummy notes. Taste is of hops, spices, coriander, citrus. Nice prickly finish.

Easy drinking and well balanced. Light bitterness. Light citrus. Pours clear orange. Good malt backbone. Touch of mint on finish. Stomach purifying hops. Tap at jackpot.

Draft sample at Cherry Blossom Beer & Wine fest, clear darker golden color with off-white head. Aroma notes of strong pine/citrus hops, caramel and toasted malt. Taste adds resin, lemon zest, grain and light fruitiness. Medium body, low-moderate carbonation, dry with lingering strong citrus/pine hop finish. Strong bitter IPA.
