[ As Legenda Pokerface ].
Unclear matt medium orange yellow colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, sweet malt, pale malt, fruity malt, light hoppy, fruity hops. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average duration, nutty, fruity malt, pale malt, caramel. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft.
Bottle. From Legenda pub, Budapest. Friendly bar maid. Amber gold color. Good head. Extremely malty, syruppy aroma, zero hops. Taste is similar caramel, syruppy grains and cereal. Not so great. Palate isnt bad, grains and some hoppy bitterness. Ive never been a huge Legenda fan, and beers like this arent changing my expectations. Sad that locals might think this is what pale ales taste like in the US. No hop character at all. Hermod (8349) - Vantaa, FINLAND - APR 7, 2017
33cl bottle. Hbf 2017.
Poured amber color with a thick white head.
Kiwi, fruity hops in aroma.
Flavor has kiwi, some oranges, citrusy notes. Light but nice sessionable. Not that much flavors though.

0.5l bottle from Legenda Sörfőzde Center (batch C1107/87, best before 7 May 2017). Pokerface has been brewed since the very start of Legenda, the first brews were among the best APAs around when Legenda started, later (some people claimed) it became somewhat simplified. Let’s see how it performs today:
Dark orange colour, hazy body. Starts with big whitish head, not very persistent, though. Moderate American hop aromas, fruity, but perhaps more on the resiny, honey side. Taste is bittersweet, sweetness is sometimes fruity (grapefruit, maybe), sometimes biscuit-like, balanced by moderate bitterness. Palate is almost perfect, mild carbonation, silky mouthfeel. A bit watery, but goes well with the composition. Mild, but lasting bitter aftertaste. Very harmonic, well composed, albeit a bit simple, there are more complex APAs around, especially aroma-wise. Yet, a very good "drinking" beer. I usually prefer Diesel (a favourite of mine), but today Pokerface was close.

Thanks Karlo! On tap at Egylet. Misty amber golden body with a white head. Sourish aroma, just light bubblegum and some sweetish maltiness. Light citric, mild taste, a bit tart. This has started going bad. Neither the first nor the last Hungarian craft that I’ve found in this condition. Thankfully, only 2 out of 8 were like that... Keg at Élesztő in Budapest. Pours Dark Browny Amber with an off-White head. Aroma is hoppy and vegetal. Unpleasant. Bitter and cluttered with off-flavours. Not for me. saxo (19522) - Højbjerg, Aarhus, DENMARK - JUL 11, 2016
