So this was nothing special. Pours a chestnut brown with off white. The aromas are nice. Milk chocolate and banana. However the flavors fall completely flat. Watery.. And whatever sweetness there is fades instantly. Beerenberger (1605) - Fischer, Texas, USA - OCT 12, 2014
Sampled on the Main just beyond Wertheim. Aromas of bananas and yeast lifts from a dark brown pour with a long lasting tan head and minimal lacing. The taste is slightly sweet with toasted malts, bananas and yeast being the dominate flavors. Medium-light body and soft carbonation. Creamy mouthfeel. Overall, well crafted and very enjoyable. Would drink again.

500 ml flip-top bottle bought at Biorganic’s booth at HKCEC in Wan Chai during HKTDC Food Expo 2014.
Translucent deep brown colour with some dirt-like yeast sediments; Explosive three-finger head with crumpety off-white foam which lasted for 3 minutes; Good sticky lacing and near zero carbonation; Very fragment aroma of roasted dark malt, with banana, vanilla, caramel, sugar, light toffee, light wheaty tartness, light chocolate, strong yeast, cloves, spices and light grass; Close to light sweet taste of strongly-roasted dark malt, with nuts, strong tart notes, dark chocolates, light caramel, light burnt toffee and toast, yeast, low phenolic, light spices, very light lemon and very light bitter grassy hops; Close to medium body. Slick and thick palate;
Mouth feel is rich dark malt with strong roastyness and nuts. Wheat is rather less in the mix, tartness is notable but quite low. Very little fruity esters and caramel is notably low. Instead it has rich dark chocolate, and pretty nice shades of burnt toffee and toast. Low clove and spices. Thick to the tongue throughout and I like it!... Hoppiness is light grass in nose, light lemon and thin grass in taste. Bitterness is slightly hoppier than most Dunkelweiss for a mostly malty and roasty low bitter finish; Pretty dry after taste. Rich and roasty to mouth.
Comments: This one is more or less in the same league as Fürstenberg Hefeweizen Dunkel - rustic, very roasty dark malt with fragrant estery aroma, rich roasty and chocolate / toffee taste and catchy light hops. It has found its place as a very decent mid-to-top Dunkelweisse. A nice one for my lazy Sunday lunch!

Schöne braun-trübe Farbe, neutral-süßlicher Geruch. Der Antrunk ist neutral-süßlich, ganz leicht malzig-hefig, aber relativ flach. Zum Hauptteil bleibt das Bier schwach, leichte Hefetöne setzen sich zusammen mit einer leichten malzigen Süße durch. 500 ml. swing-top bottle. Pours a thick well retained ivory head, over a slightly hazy, light brown (SRM 20) body....nose is light banana/bubblegum, minimal phenolics, hints of cereal, no hops....taste is light grains, light banana/bubblegum, no clove notes, finishing slightly sweet, with minimal hop bitterness....mouth feel light of medium, carbonation adds tingle and mild acid. This is a pleasant enough beer, but it is not a very good Dunkelweisen. The clove phenolics are absent, and the banana/bubblegum notes are low. Aroma of dark, toasty bread, yeast, wheat.
Taste is sweet, dark malt, caramel, bread.
Nice taste...but a little on the weak side.
