Looks and smells promising but an odd flavor note keeps this from being a repeater. Never could place what it was but probably the same thing the previous reviewer called metallic. Pailhead (6543) - Rochester Hills, Michigan, USA - DEC 18, 2012
Bottle: The aroma consists of moderate-strong chocolate, caramel, and light fruit. It pours a dark mahogany with some transparency and a one finger tan head that quickly fades to a thin film outlined by a thicker ring. There is some dotted lacing left on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with a good dose of milk chocolate and lighter caramel. The finish has moderate roast, fruit, metal, and a touch of alcohol. The metal flavor is even more unpleasant when it clashes with the roast and fruit. It’s medium bodied with light-moderate carbonation. Overall, the metallic finish really kills this beer for me. Ar: Nougat, booze, raisins.
Ap: Deep red, clear - small light tan head, leaving a small ring of foam.
T: Figs and nougat up front, sweet - some soy sauce - low bitterness, with a clean and warming alcohol - vegital - dark fruit and booze on the finish.
P: Medium-full body with medium-high carbonation - finish is dry.
O: Decent baltic porter - warming, sweet, and with lots of dark fruit - the soy sauce and vegital elements are off the mark. rougeau13 (3188) - Richmond, Texas, USA - DEC 13, 2012
Roast, coffee, fruit. A bit on the sweet side, but decent. Very dark brown. Medium-full bodied and a touch oily. Decent, but I’m not all that impressed. crajun (1261) - , Texas, USA - DEC 12, 2012

On tap at Tyler’s Taproom in Raleigh, NC. Dark brown pour with an off-white head. Aroma of roasted malts and light coffee. Tastes of chocolate with a nutty finish. Thin with low heat for the style. Not terrible but disappointing and not worthy of the Big Eddy name. travita (5008) - Dallas, Texas, USA - DEC 12, 2012
Bottle. The look is lot like Pepsi, light beige colored head, and clear. The smell is malty, toffee, fruits, raisans, fig, and ok. The taste is fruity, roast, malt, sweet, too sweet, and sugary. DocLock (11025) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 3, 2012
Bottle from Capone’s. Pours deep brown, and a lovely shade of deep ruby through direct light, with half a finger of fast-disspiating khaki head. Nose is charred black patent malt, cacao, blackstrap molasses. Tastes rich, dry, very charred, with the dark malt, soy saucy cloying flavor, dry hops late, and a medium palate heft. This one is a miss. zathrus13 (1776) - Mount Laurel, New Jersey, USA - DEC 1, 2012

Savannah, Ga - Habersham Beverage Warehouse - 12 oz bottle. Dark brown pour, thin, off white head that clings to the edge of the glass. Molasses and dates in the aroma, trace of bubble gum. Flavor is decidedly sweet with raisins and molasses dominating. Some milk chocolate makes an appearance with a finish of brown sugar. Mouthfeel is nice and thick. Good winter warmer.
