Aroma- big citrus notes, nice hop presence, decent malt bill Appearance- golden yellow, with intense lacing and a nice foamy white head Taste- bananas, cloves, big intense hop bite, some tropical fruits and citrus Palate- decent body, slick mouthfeel, nice Overall- Quality IPA here from Leininkugels. Probably wouldn’t buy it again because of the price tag.

Poured from 12oz bottle, pours a clear copper red with a thin white head, the aroma has a good amount of grapefruit and citrus, the flavor has more of a sweet front end with a nice hop bitterness in the finish, this was more sweet than I was expecting. I’m assuming this is bottle is a tad bit older, still enjoyable.

Bottle. Pours a super clear deep orange color. Minimal head, but lingers and bubbles on as it disappears from the glass. Flavor is a bit of ripe fruit and orange honey, followed by a wallop of citrus and slightly herbal hops. Finish is very sweet and lingers. Just a bit of heat from the alcohol. Body is a bit thin, but the flavor profile is right on. A solid addition to the Big Eddy line.

Copper pour with a quick medium off white head. aroma is caramel, strong fruity hop. lighter pine. hint of cherry and just a whiff of booze. Flavour is fruity, some orange peel, piney hop, alc stands out a bit, but not overly hot, bit thin on the back of the palate. Honey and caramel and lesser extent vanilla sweetness. Then piney/pithy/woody bitterness in the finish.

Pours a nice, clear, copper with mid-sized, frothy head. First taste was a big wallop of citrus flavors, immediately followed by an intense maltiness, A very balanced beer--not particularly bitter for the style. Quite tasty to say the least!

7/20/12. 12oz bottle thanks to cbfobes! Barely hazed amber pour with a nice khaki head. Huge malt aroma with lots of caramel, sweetness, and a solid dose of dank, sticky hops. Sweet malty entry with lingering dank and sweet hops. Over the years I’ve grown to love bold, fresh hop explosions in the aroma and flavor and this strikes me as more malty and sweet. Eh.

12oz bottle from Spirits Brick. Poured a good looking deep reddish/amber with a small to average frothy off white head. Aroma of candy orange slices, touch of copper, dry vanilla and alcohol. Fuller dry body with a mildly bitter bite on the end at first that slowly builds to a strong amount of bitterness, average carbonation and an almost syrupy feel. Flavor of syrup, toast, sweet ornage pulps, dry vanilla. Meh, first Big Eddy that I really don’t care for that much.
