Wasn’t sure what to expect with this beer. It caught my eye because of the "uber". Not the best Oktoberfest but an interesting idea for a beer. It’s worth trying.

pours an orange amber with a ample white head. smells very sweet but not the toasty sweet you get in most american versions of the Marzen style. Flavor is boozy and super sweet and has a tartness to it as well that i wouldnt have expected. I dont think they did a very good job on this.

AmEricanbrew (7080) - Same Trailer, Different Park, Louisiana, USA - NOV 16, 2014
[email protected] neighbors trailer. Bright rusty amber color with fleeting foam. Toasted caramel, lagered malt, spicy aromas. Medium bodied. Big malty, lightly sweet caramel, spicy, lagered flavors with some toast, dark bread---not bad.

This dark orange ale is thick and sweet leaning. Smells and tastes of caramel and bread and toffee, with a little more raisiny sweetness than usually in the style. Pretty enjoyable malt bomb.

Certainly not an Oktoberfest. This is more of a Scotch Ale. Caramel sweet aroma. The flavor is sticky sweet with caramel and sugar. Some alcohol peeks thru also. Sticky mouthfeel. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft. Just a poor maerzen. Ultra sweet and sugary. No malt complexity. Pitiful for the style.

12 oz. bottle. Malty, fruity aroma with scents of caramel and red grape. Pours a clear brass / copper with moderate effervescence and a small amount of beige head. Looks nice but not outstanding. Sweet, malty taste features flavors of lemon, melon, and muffin. Excessively sweet. Piney and citric (lime, grapefruit) hops. Medium body. Lively, frothy, and silky in the palate. Overall, not very pleasant and not very good. I would classify this as a doppelbock, not an Oktoberfest.

UPDATED: OCT 24, 2014 Sample at GABF 10/03/2014, thanks to my sis for assistance with note-taking. Clear dark amber color with a medium off-white head that recedes steadily. Strings of lacing. Caramel, malt and hops in the nose. Medium body with a slightly boozy character and notes of caramel, grainy malt and slight hops. The finish is sweet with a malty aftertaste. Decent overall.

Pours an amber/orange with a medium white foam head. Aroma is toasted malts and sweet caramel. Flavor is sweet caramel. Perhaps a touch too sweet, but actually pretty good.
