Sample Bottle at Three Cellars. One word, FANTASTIC.
The maple taste is soft and barley noticeable and is the Hazel nut. But what a mix and perfect balance. If this is what we have to look forward to in Leinenkugels ‘s craft line it is going to be one to watch !!!

dark copper colored beer. light body. Toasty, nutty, and a little sweet. Nice aromas of perhaps maple and caramels. mcnealc31 (255) - Elida, Ohio, USA - SEP 6, 2011
Pours a deep brown. Notes of hazelnut and smoke, rich caramel. The mouthfeel was thick and full. There was a late, light sweet finish and after it warmed even some background cinnamon and clove. I thought it was delicious! jerrytimes (9) - Roseville, Michigan, USA - OCT 30, 2008 does not count
This beer pours amber in color with a nice head of foam on top that doesn’t last too long. The taste shocked me. It’s got a slight chocolate/carmel taste but the nut flavor is really noticable, in a good way. I’ve never tasted anything like it.

Bottle. Pours solid brown with a thick, foam, tan head. Smells carmely, toffee, maple, nutty. Tastes sweet, with a carnival of flavors. Maple is the primaryflavor with some toffee, roasted nuts, vanilla, butter, and carmel. Tastes like dessert from the state fair, or butter pecan waffles. One of the most unusual beers I ever had, but definately an excellent brew. nathan30533 (1020) - Clifton, Ohio, USA - OCT 31, 2009
Aroma of Caramel and Nut, and Taste as well. Great smooth nut ale, good winter brew. Let warm a little in the glass before you smell and drink so that you can appreciate the characteristics. llcooldave (1217) - San Antonio, Texas, USA - NOV 14, 2010
Pours a clear copper in the glass. Clean coffee aroma, easy to pick out. I’m also getting some hints of nuts and caramel maybe some toffee as well. Flavor is basically roasted nuts; almonds. Overall, this really surprised me. I didn’t have much expectations but it’s easy drinking and complex. Good stuff. drowland (8760) - Georgia, USA - AUG 13, 2009
The aroma is like... well... beer. The flavor is big roasted malt, practically like chewing on the grains themselves with touches of chocolate, caramel, and nuts. Tasty indeed! I really enjoy this beer and hope they make it again next winter! bpreo (2840) - Eugene, Oregon, USA - DEC 21, 2009
Another fine selection from Leinenkugel’s brewery. A pleasent nut brown, surprisingly good!
