This really isn’t my kind of beer anyway. Tried it just because it was there and free. And most of the time if it free you can dismiss what it taste like. I couldn’t finish it. It taste like candy. I wasn’t even sure it was beer. Drink with caution. Markm2151 (280) - toledo, USA - NOV 14, 2012
Berry and malts on aroma. Cloudy copper body with hints of amber. Overly carbonated, synthetic taste of berries. unclemike (3160) - Ft. Riley, Kansas, USA - NOV 10, 2012
on tap Pours a cloudy light pink/orange color. Lemon aroma. Medium carbonation. Tastes of lemon and berries. Very drinkable. Almost tastes like a wine cooler. Much better than either berryweiss or summer shandy o_Merlin_o (225) - San Diego, California, USA - NOV 9, 2012
Almost zero aroma. Average bright white head. Tastes like leftover candy that’s been sitting in your cabinet for years, only to be recently discovered. CardsPackHawks (173) - South Elgin, Illinois, USA - NOV 8, 2012
I am a fan of Summer Shandy, but not Berry Weiss. This is basically a mix of this two beers from Leinenkugel. As a result, this is tough one for me to rate. I want to really like it, but I just find it too sweet. It would be an OK summer beer, but I think I will stick with Summer Shandy when I am in the mood for this style of beer.

In early fall 2012; Leinenkugel’s introduced its newest beer, Lemon Berry Shandy. It is rumored that this was crudely made over the years at Summerfest by combining their Summer Shandy and Berry Weiss. It became fairly popular and even was made in the bars before finally being a beer of its own. Let’s see how it fairs when it comes down to rating.
It pours a murky pink color like grapefruit juice with a light pink head. There is a mild scent of lemons and blackberries in the mix as well as wheat. Overall there is a sweet aroma indicating a sweet flavor. This is fairly inviting.
The taste of Berry Weiss is very evident here with lots of blackberry juice flavor. There is an after taste of lemon that is a little off-putting. The taste is obviously fruity and kind of awkward throughout. It finishes kind of tangy and sour leaving an unpleasant taste in your mouth.
Two decently made beers combined sounds like a good idea, but the execution of the plan falls short. This is a great summer beer when you are thirsty after mowing the yard. But as a rate-able fruit beer, there are a lot better beers on the market. Better than average overall, but not by much.

11/6/12. 12oz bottle from Publix. Goofy pink pour with a small off-white head. Fruity, berry and lemon aroma that really reminds of berry lemonade. The flavor is much the same, almost juice- or soda-like... lots of berry and lemon in there. I can’t say this is exactly what I’m looking for in a beer, but for what it is... it delivers. edgallow (4312) - nashville, Tennessee, USA - NOV 3, 2012
12 oz bottle pours pink with a white head. Aroma of citrus and fruit. Taste is berries and lemons.

Visually, the beer reminds me of pink grapefruit juice - translucent, pinky-yellow-brown, thin white foam, cluttered label, twistoff longneck. Zippy, sweet lemon aroma with some earthiness. Light body. Fresh - powdery, slightly floral, mineral flavors, a strange bittering, soilish tones. Sweetness is not overbearing or clingy. Thin, but frothy mouth. Mild, medium, fruity finish. A reasonable tailgate/BBQ/boating beer. Publix, I-10 and Thomasville Rd. UncleKorm (1330) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - NOV 1, 2012
Bottle poured a cloudy white-orange-pink hue w/ thin white ring of head. Sweet aroma, tart wheat, berries, and lemon. Initial sweet flavor and a tart finish. Taste like a popsicle dropped in a wine cooler. It lacked depth in my opinion.
