"Had last night. Assumed this was fresh, and just an early summer seasonal like everything else, but after drinking it I’m not sure it’s a 2013 beer. Very muddled aroma. Still tart and a touch sweet, but seems muted and (possibly) a little stale too. Not horrid. Not good. I’ve had better shandies." Dacrza (1024) - Great Meadows, New Jersey, USA - AUG 30, 2014
DATE REVIEWED: August 28, 2014... GLASSWARE: Hoegaarden tumbler... OCCASION: preseason Manziel being Johnny, for better and worse... APPEARANCE: peachy, fuzzy, hazy body; equally fuzzy off-white head; smears unevenly... AROMA:syrupy tart raspberry scents; elicits a sweettart mouthwatering reaction; an unnatural scent for a beer?.. PALATE: lightly fizzy, effervescent champagne-like exit--a soda-like gassiness--creamy late in the glass... TASTE: at first, a teasing of sugary, caramelized feint; some peppermint mixes with the medicinal berry; reminiscent of a Captain Morgan and ginger ale ...OVERALL: another fruity offering from Leinie--and though many of these become repetitious, in this case, the lemon berry is easy drinking, slightly tart and not a bad companion on a warm August night...

Hazy straw color; Medium slightly creamy body; Aroma of yeast, & lemons/berries; Flavor of yeast, light grain, berries, lemons; Finish is dry & tangy; Not too bad. Hkrivera (153) - Guaynabo, PUERTO RICO - AUG 22, 2014
Another selection from Leinenkugels for the summer. The combination is not bad but I prefer the Lemon Shandy.

Smell is lemon
Medium-high carbonation, semi soda like, slight foam
Taste is first lemon and berry, then aftertaste is medium length lemon and berry with wheat making an appearance to say hello obguthr (6593) - Staunton, Virginia, USA - JUL 30, 2014
Can: Blackberry and raspberry nose. Cloudy amber, thick head. Lemon and blackberry flavor. Light body, a little watery, soft carbonation. Very refreshing, not very beery. jake65 (3986) - Meridian, Idaho, USA - JUL 20, 2014
Bottle: Pours a hazy fruit juice color akin to a berry wine cooler, topped with a creamy white head. Nose is sprite, lemon, and berry juice... also akin to a wine cooler. Tastes a little grainy, lemon, and sprite. A little blackberry juice brings up the rear. The lemon is a bit unpleasant; it reminds me of that cheap lemon juice that comes in the plastic lemon bottle. My least favorite of their Shandy group. This one goes too far into syrupy fruit territory. Plus they all only seem to be 4.2%. Go pour some vodka in a Capri Sun instead. Or, you know, grab a real beer.

Typical shandy. More lemon flavor than anything. Nice for a Summer day. From a can.
