UPDATED: OCT 12, 2008 had this beer again my first rating was not so flattering was far better than the first rating pours was amber with off white head aromas of malts and and hops taste was of crisp malts and hops easy drinking smooth by far not the best of this style but a decent session beer IlanMan (1015) - Appleton, Wisconsin, USA - FEB 18, 2008
See, I really like Leinies because they show that they can make some great beers. This one however isn’t one of their better brews. Taste is bland with some light bitterness with a crisp clean finish. Just doesn’t have enough flavor. Come on Leinies, you only need one or two beers to get the bud light drinkers on your side. Wouldn’t buy again. pointer11 (43) - Wisconsin, USA - FEB 14, 2008
light amber/orange-copperish body, sweet aroma. malty taste, pretty plain/boring. StFun (567) - Indiana, USA - JAN 30, 2008
Pretty good actually. Not a real "oktoberfest" type beer, but I enjoyed it for what it was. Orangish color with a slight tan head. Some good hops in there, along with the carmel. Probably my favorite from Leiny Crafty07 (404) - Florence, Kentucky, USA - JAN 20, 2008
Real marzens are not orange in color and have more character but this offering is not nearly as poor as the reviewers have scored this malty lager. It’s very drinkable and the price vs. more expensive competitors makes it a decent beer.

12 oz. bottle. Pours out a clear deep gold with a small head. Nice sweet malty caramel aroma. Taste falls a bit flat and comes off with undesirable sour notes. I will pass on this one next time. ilovedarkbeer (2737) - Arlington, Virginia, USA - DEC 30, 2007
This is a really weak oktoberfest. Pours an orange color with a medium to small sized fluffy head that is gone within minuts. Nose is lager like and smells of wheat and a bit of nuts. Taste is very watery and plain. A bit of malt but nothing else really. Probiere (992) - Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 17, 2007
This rating concludes the latest round of Leinie’s torture I have put myself through. I have had worst Ofests, but not many. Flat, cardboardy, spoilt caramel sweetness, with a sour, grainy finish. patrick767 (4063) - fort wayne, Indiana, USA - NOV 26, 2007
bottle - Pours light amber with a two finger head that fades fast and a light caramel malt aroma. It has decent caramel malt flavor and is a pretty light, smooth beer. It’s not bad, but then again there are certainly better Oktoberfests out there. doubelknv3 (1093) - Illinois, USA - NOV 18, 2007
UPDATED: SEP 26, 2011 Clear, copper with a quickly disappearing head. Grain, caramel, and sour mash aroma. Zesty hops and mild sour fruit flavour. Mild dry-hop finish.
