noncaloric (684) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - SEP 2, 2008
UPDATED: MAR 9, 2009 Bottle, pilsner glass. Pours an amber-orange. Off-white head, not thick but decent retention, spotty lacing, nice ongoing effervescence. Malt bouquet. Flavor begins with a light malty sweetness, hints of lemon zest bitters, but turns towards a variety of off flavors in the finish, stale biscuit when cold, more of a metallic tang as the beer warms. Cold and fizzy on the palate. wxman (1848) - O’Fallon, Illinois, USA - SEP 2, 2008
UPDATED: AUG 18, 2009 Pours a clear pale amber with a respectable off-white head. Aroma is hop flowers and malt. Taste is maltly sweetness, maple syrup and some hop bitterness. Very Oktoberfest-like, but a little thin. A good effort. joshiez (48) - USA - SEP 2, 2008
Not a bad beer. Weak compared to other Oktober offerings.....nothing special here. Move on. kidmartinek (5007) - austin, Texas, USA - AUG 31, 2008
Something about this beer just makes me happy. I don’t know if its the aroma, which is fall leaves, and malty with a hint of bite, or just the season. The aroma is full, but not overpowering, so in other words, it’s perfectly balanced. It pours a darker shades of translucent amber with out any foam. It’s a clean, full flavored lager whose taste develops across the palate with each sip with notes of grain, toasted malt, outdoor air, leaves, dough and a dull spice. It finishes dry and with half the strength of all the flavors described above. Serving at 48 degrees really brings out the better in this beer. puboflyons (3498) - Allenstown, New Hampshire, USA - AUG 30, 2008
From a 355 ml. bottle. 2008 series. Lot code: 12158-C12064. Pours a rich honey-amber color with very little off-white head. Aroma is more of sweet malts and caramel than of hops. Thin-medium mouth feel. A little more on the bitter side although I noticed vague hops in the taste. It wasn’t all that bad.

Pretty dark pumpkin amber. Nice head disappeared quick, nice lacing. Aroma of faint malt. Tast is medium bodied, mild bitterness and metallic. Not a winner. bluemooner (657) - East Bethel, Minnesota, USA - AUG 26, 2008
Pours an amber color with white head which quickly disappears with some lacing. Tastes of caramels, malt, and light hops. This beer is very well balanced and light bodied with a crisp finish, making it a very drinkable one. I enjoy this beer but for an octoberfest it is really sub par. blipp (9691) - La Mesa, California, USA - AUG 23, 2008
Bottle ay Buffalo Brewfest. Pours amber with a white head. Malty arom awith toast and caramel. Flavor is toasty malt with a nice bitter hop finish. Not bad. smjohnst (203) - , Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 22, 2008
I was quite impressed with this beer actually. It had a great flavor to it, slightly sweet but not too much. the only thing that it lacked was a little bit of body. JUST not thick enough for an octoberfest beer. thejoeshow (232) - Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA - AUG 20, 2008
12 oz bottle. Pours a clear golden/copper color with a slightly off white head that disappears rather fast. Aroma is of grain and something else I can’t quite make out. Flavor is a little low. I was hoping for a more robust, full, rich flavor so I would say this is a bit of a let down but not terrible by any means. It is a good shot at a middle of the road Oktoberfest. I could see this being a transition beer for people wanting to get into Marzens.
