COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A traditional Marzen brewed with 2-Row Pale, Caramel, and Munich malts. The malts give it a hearty character and deep amber color. Tettnanger and Perle hops provide a well-balanced, drinkable finish prefect for Fall celebrations.

UPDATED: NOV 22, 2012 A nice German-Style Marzen, that is very enjoyable in the fall for Oktoberfest season. One of my favorites from this brewery.

Bottle poured a clear reddish amber with a small lasting amber head. Aromas of caramel, fruitiness and a hint of spice. Palate was light to medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of caramel, fruitiness and light spice with a smooth dry lingering fruity caramel finish.

Can on Southwest flight ECP-HOU for Thanksgiving in Dallas. Middle of the road fest beer. Sweeter malt with light bitterness. It gets a little more flavorful as it warms. Okay.

If you must partake in a Leinie Oktoberfest, try to find it on tap rather than in a bottle. While neither has an especially distinctive aroma, the draft version is smoother and sweeter while the bottled variety is thin and bitter. To be honest, neither is memorable but at least the tapper is bearable.

Nice dark amber color with an off-white head leaves a modest lacing. Smells heavily of hopps with a mild citrus background. Good balance of bitterness and sweetness. The carbonation is subtle and makes the beer quite easy to drink.

Beautiful ruby amber with a white head. More malt forward. Just a bit of earthy hops. Sweet.

Pours a copper from a bottle, thin white head with some lacing. Aroma of toffee and toast, flavor similar, rather sweet, no bitterness to speak of. Not a lot going on, kind of plain. Meh.

A little below average oktoberfest brew. Very little aroma or taste, some hints of malts and a slight caramel finish. A dark amber body, with average carbonation leads to a thin white head that didnt leave much lace. Smooth mouth feel, with no aftertaste. Originally rated on 11/8/08.

Pours a thick, pillowy off white head, light amber color with plenty of streaming carbonation. Aroma of toasted malt and mild hop spice. Finish is dry & pleasant. Flavor is just right, not too sweet and no funky spices or flavoring. Well done to the style. Served from 12 oz bottle in pilsner glass.
