1.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
Tastes like Tang mixed in beer. Leinenkugel is such a good brewery. I don’t understand why they would put their name on such crap. Yuck!
UPDATED: OCT 7, 2017 Can. It pours a pale yellow with a big frothy off-white head. It has a light orange aroma. The flavor is slightly malty and smooth. I really enjoyed this radler. tmoreau (4631) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - OCT 1, 2017
12 oz. can poured to a small Czech-pils glass at home showing a cloudy, orange color, a fair layer of fine bubbled, white foam that reduced to a persistent ring, with some ribbons & spots of lacing. The nose expressed some tartness & tanginess, then an orange scent that was a combination of orange Kool-Aid, orange peel, and light sweetness. A little better than light bodied, with fair carbonation, the taste was similar notes, with less fruit expression, some malt/wheat creaminess, and texture that became somewhat watery & thin if you didn't finish quickly enough. Fair refreshment for Sunday football viewing. Dacrza (1035) - Great Meadows, New Jersey, USA - AUG 17, 2017
DATE: August 17, 2017... OCCASION: Stage One of prepping for the roommates’ Saturday get-together completed... GLASSWARE: Brew at the Zoo pint... pours a hazy, opaque, tangerine yellow body whose effervescence is impossible to discern... a mountain of alpine white foam thickens, then crags above... orange peel, lemon zest, vanilla cream, and almond milk set off the initial aroma... aided by its prodigious foam, the first sip is creamy, tangy, thirst-quenching and lively... the back-end is biscuity and buttery, belying a slight maltiness... as the glass drains, uneven smears of froth pool in odd patterns... the flavor is decidedly orange creamsicle, with soft vanilla, nutty almond, lemon zest, and cracker malts... refreshing, with the only imperfections being its slightly cloying finish and that the style would benefit from more fruit or fervency... easily my favorite Leinenkugel’s shandy, this can finished well before my intention--a compliment to the brewer... tough to rate higher, however, as the lack of depth in its flavor profile restricts its versatility... as summer drinks go, the best in its mix and a refresher for sure.... Another decent offering from Leinenkugels shandy series. Citrus & orange aroma. Light amber coloring with low carbonation. Taste is the same.

14 overall 94 style. I will never understand RB’s discrepancy between these two categories. Smells good enough, like a light beer creamsicle. Tastes like what you would expect but more creamy than citrusy. Light palate but that’s also to be expected. Overall not a 94 but definitely not a 14. Drinkable, has to be the right setting.

Bottle, Ann Arbor, MI. Murky gold. Orange juice aroma. Watery orange juice flavor. Some faint hops at the end. Seems like juice with some alcohol added. cgams16 (5) - - JUN 24, 2017 does not count
Very interesting taste, great for summer time, not the best summer time beer.

It's a shandy. It's light, tasty, and not that complicated. My least favorite of the citrus shandies.

bottled - summery citrusy aroma. The orange flavor seems artificial. Similar to summer shandy but not nearly as good. ozzy70 (1283) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - APR 23, 2017
12 oz. bottle. Pours hazy golden, white head. Aroma was oranges, wheat. Taste was sweet, orange, watered down Tang.
