As far as Leines goes, at least this one tastes like a beer. Slightly bitter taste with a bit of an offensive palate. Overall though, hey, at least Leines figured out how to actually make beer.
Crisp pale golden under a thin foamy white cap. Faint nose that’s vaguely bready. Crisp nothing flavor that’s got some light Germanic cracker and faint blonde malty sweetness. Super crisp and smooth. handmuffin (40) - Wisconsin, USA - MAY 30, 2017
Served from can into glass. Pours pale gold in color, nearly transparent, with short lived bright white head and lots of small bubbles. Fairly mild aroma, primarily simple light grain. No hop aroma detectable. Flavor is possibly even more mild than the aroma, just simple clean malt. No hop flavor or bitterness but a slightly sweet finish. Mouthfeel is medium, fuller than expected from such a light flavored beer. High carbonation. Overall this beer is a quintessential American adjunct lager> Very simple aroma and flavor consisting basically entirely of featureless grain. Combined with low bitterness and high carbonation this beer is supremely drinkable, even if it is boring.

From old tasting notes. Medium gold color. Smooth creamy white head. Tart fruity malt aroma, reminiscent of white grape juice. Zesty sweet malt flavor upfront. Mildly smooth dry finish has a wisp of hop bitterness. StoutBeerReviews (223) - Kenosha, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 21, 2016
Cheap beer, but not watery. pretty good flavor for the price, not to mention a great aesthetic. if ur gonna buy anything Leinies, go with the original. seriously, when it comes to cheap beer in wisconsin, this is what you need. Strangebrewer (1334) - Chatham, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 26, 2016
can. Poured clear golden with a skin white head. Kinda funky grainy aroma. Light body, average carbonation. Generic grainy flavour, a little more bready malt than expected, herbal hop note. Drinkable but not repeatable.

Tap at the Leinie Lodge on 7-22-16. Poured clear golden, dissipating white head. Aroma of grain, corn. Taste was medium sweet, grains, watered down flavor. mjmoen (584) - - MAY 18, 2016
B. Pours a crystal clear golden color with white head. A little watery, but not bad superspak (5880) - Waterford, Michigan, USA - JAN 4, 2016
12 ounce bottle into lager glass, best before 1/18/2016. Pours crystal clear bright golden yellow color with a 1 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings down the glass, with a light amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of cracker, corn, white bread, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of pale malt and light earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of cracker, corn, white bread, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Light herbal/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of cracker, corn, white bread, and herbal/grassy earthiness on the finish. Good robustness and balance of pale malt and light earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Moderate dryness. Very clean on lager flavors with minimal yeast ester notes present. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, crisp, and lightly grainy/bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming present after the finish as expected of 4.6%. Overall this is a good pale adjunct lager style. All around good robustness and balance of pale malt and light earthy hop flavors; and very smooth, crisp, clean, and refreshing to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering. ryrpat (380) - Illinois, USA - DEC 24, 2015
Serviceable ale at Best. Drinkable if nothing else is around. But a decent change from the typical summer shandy

I think all of Leinenkugels’ fruit beers are the same: fruity and delicious, but leave you wishing they had something more distinguishing than which fruit is in this particular beer you’re drinking at that moment
