Not very full bodied for a porter, and the vanilla tastes strong, but artificial. I’d prefer if it was hinted at in a more full body beer. Mora2000 (6158) - McKinney, Texas, USA - DEC 9, 2013
Dark brown-red with a white head. The aroma is fairly faint but I get a hint of vanilla and some chocolate. The flavor has some artificial vanilla notes as well as some toasted malt, nuts and chocolate. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. trujahwarrior (515) - Monroe, Washington, USA - DEC 9, 2013
12oz bottle pours a clear dark brown with a fizzy tan head that faded and leaves decent lacing. Smell of roasted malt, dark fruit, caramel, chocolate and vanilla. Tastes of all the same things in the smell. Mouthfeel is medium and watery with light carbonation. This was pretty average for a porter. I like that they used vanilla. The appearance and mouthfeel hurt it. I’d still drink it again though. snoworsummer (6276) - baltimore, Maryland, USA - DEC 8, 2013
Draft. Pours dark brown with creamy beige head. Aroma is strong vanilla, roasted malts, light earthy notes, and plums. Flavor is dry malts, some vanilla and dark fruit sweetness, with light ash. Feels thin throughout with a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation. Nuffield (4245) - Roseville, Minnesota, USA - DEC 7, 2013
I didn’t fimd anything especially wrong with this, except that it wasn’t very good. The palate--acceptable for a porter. The flavor--not the most elegant vanilla or porter. The aroma--rather dull. But then, this is a brewery that is aiming for a different of the craft beer market than where I am at. Bottle.

Opens weak. Pours like a lager. Not as strong as a vanilla porter should be. Very lil head. Wouldnt recomend this to true porter fans. brucebruce81 (392) - GUAM - DEC 5, 2013
This beer had an interesting flavor it was a coffee flavor but with vanilla, it's like a girly Starbucks drink.

Tap. Pours dark brown with creamy beige head. Aroma is light vanilla, roasted malts, light earthy notes, and plums. Flavor is dry malts, some vanilla and dark fruit sweetness, and light ash; thin throughout with a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation. jagad5 (95) - - DEC 5, 2013
Pours and looks like flat coke. Feels a bit "gritty" on my tongue. Overall, a bit disappointing considering the brewer. Too bad there are five more bottles to go. strattonspeaks (113) - Springfield, Missouri, USA - DEC 5, 2013
Dark brown pour, small tan topper. Blunted roast aroma. Vanilla with hints of burnt coffee. Taste comes through a bit crisper. Vanilla and chocolate on a soft roasted backbone. A bit thin for a porter but pleasant enough.
