Bottle, pours a clear dark brown minimal off white head, aroma is soft mild malts very little vanilla. Good carbonation, very drinkable little to no hop character vanilla character is there but there is also some light sourness, would love to see an imperial version or a barrel aged funk. Overall it is sort of average porter while very clean and drinkable yet its lacking malt depth.

Bottle into Sam Adams Glass. Light Aroma, not too much of a nose. Color is a very dark brown, but not quite black. Head is a beautiful Espresso Orange/Black. Flavor is sweet vanilla, coffee and perhaps a smokiness? Definitely a great dessert beer, and one to give to people who don’t quite trust craft beer.

Bottle. Pours dark brown. Small tan head. Aroma of sweet chocolate. Flavor of vanilla and chocolate with coco on the back end. Low carbonation. Very dry finish. Overall a decent beer. Biggest negative is that its a bit thin.

Clear deep red with off white head. Aroma of vanilla, banana and a little chocolate. First taste gave me malt, vanilla. Then "rootbeer" came to mind. The finish had a very little chocolate bitter, but left me with a stale taste at the end.

355ml bottle. Pours a deep, clear, ruby-brown (Lovibond 28) with a silky 1/2" head. Aroma of plums, vanilla and chocolate. Thin lacing. Palate is velvety, yet not thick - watery, but not thin. Low carbonation. Initially sweet, with a roasted nutty finish. Typical porter perhaps. But still quite good. Not as much vanilla in the flavouring as I had expected or hoped.

English pint. Pours a dark fizzy chocolate. Hints of chocolate and vanilla. A very tasty beer with just the right combination of chocolate and vanilla.

Alright, this dark brown beer with a heavy vanilla-esque flavors to add to it’s chocolaely porter presence is good, although it is somewhat lacking in lasting body. Still, I liked it.

BeerandBlues2 (13304) - Escondido, California, USA - FEB 10, 2013
Bottle. Pours clear dark brown with a small, frothy light tan head, short retention with spare lacing. Aroma is vanilla, roast and dark chocolate malt, prune and date esters with faint earthy hops. Flavor is malt dominant with vanilla notes, dark fruity esters and a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation.
