Pour from a 12oz bottle. Dark amber brew, color of root beer. Clear. Off white head. Aroma of vanilla, ethanol, roasted malts. Taste is sweet malt, roaste dmalt, a little chocolate, some vanilla and maybe a little licorice. Nice profile of burnt and dark roasted malts, but a little too sweet. Vanilla is a little over done, IMO. But quafffable and fine on a cool December eve.

The aroma is toasted and sweet with light but definite chocolate, vanilla, coffee, and adjunct malt. The appearance is red brown with a thin head. The taste is like the aroma. The palate is average. Overall easy to drink but nothing special, pretty much a macro.

Pours a beautiful ruby/brown with a khaki/brown head. I dont detect any discernible vanilla in the nose, just milk chocolate. The prevalent flavors are milk chocolate and a sort of mocha/french vanilla coffee element. It is smooth/silky in the mouth, a respectable chocolate/vanilla porter.

Bottle. Poured dark brown color with an average frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate roasted sweet malt and soft vanilla aroma. Medium body with a creamy texture and flat carbonation. Medium toasted vanilla sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. My expectations were met.

December 13, 2012 on tap at MKE airport. Seemed to be a brown pour with limited head. Aroma was roasted malt, sweetness that seemed to be a combo of vanilla and lactose. Taste was consistent with aroma, mostly roasted malt but got had a little vanilla in there and was creamy, maybe even slightly nutty in the finish. Not bad, much better than their regular offerings.

~Roasty coffee aroma with dark chocolate and light vanilla bready notes. Metallic notes as well. ~Pours black with rich garnet highlights and a lasting beige head. ~Vanilla is more prominent in the flavor. Creamy vanilla flavor with lots of roasty malt flavors of coffee and dark chocolate. ~Medium bodied, medium CO2, smooth feel. Bitter roast finish. ~Enjoyable beer. The roastiness could be lowered a bit. Nothing real special about this one.

Strong coffee color with tan head. Malty, chocolate aroma with light vanilla undertones. Flavor is light to medium for a porter. Smooth and overall well-rounded. If it had more depth/body, it would be even better. One of my new go-to brews.

This is one of those beers that tastes like a high-end cream soda. Theres loads and loads of vanilla, a good deal of sweetness and prickly carbonation. It is not exactly a masterpiece of brewcraft but its actually kind of tasty. Behind all the soda-like notes there seems to live a mild and fairly decent dark lager of some sort. This is fun to try but definitely you will want to have a spare schoolchild around to drink the rest of it after your first few sips.

Clear, reddish brown pour with a 1 finger, creamy tan head. Aroma is nutty, sweet chocolate, light vanilla and toffee. Flavor is nutty, (think hazelnut syrup and pine nuts), dusty chocolate, light roast toffee and a medicinal bitterness to the finish that sort of wrecks the experience. Medium bodied, syrupy and has a moderate strength, but quite sharp carbonation. Decent.
