Black pour. Virtually no head. Slightly bitter taste. Vanilla comes in late. Some toffee too. Not complex. Pretty light for a porter. Not completely offensive but decidedly average.

on tap @ Party Town / Florence KY --- Clear very dark brown, beige head that slowly drops to a head cover, dots and spots of lace. Taste is lightly toasted malt with a bit of vanilla that turns a little bitter on the swallow, and then cruises through a fairly short finish. Agreeable to drink, but somewhat thin and watery, and quite forgettable.

Not normally a porter drinker, prefer stouts. However, this one was smooth, sure it was a tad sweet, However, I welcome the unique change of pace. Clearly this is a home run.

Bottle pours a clear dark brown with a thin light tan head. Light sweet dark malt aroma. Leather and damp earth with some caramel and wet brown paper. Flavors are a sweet faded tootsie roll. A little coffee at the end, and shot a dozen IBUs or so. Lacking some of the needed bite at the end. A bit disappointing, but I suppose easy drinking fof folks that think they like "dark beers"

12oz bottle pours with a mahogany to deep ruby red body that supports a thin tan head. The aroma offers up sweetness in the form of malts and vague vanilla as well as some earthy chocolate. The taste starts with malts and chocolate and then mild roasted malts and sweet malts. It gets a tad roastier to midway amid plenty of thin bodied sweetness.

Pours a dark reddish brown, with a figure sized head the the recedes quick. Lacing is poor. Aroma is mild but you can definitely smell the vanilla in it. Taste of mostly of vanilla but there is small notes of vanilla and cocoa in there as well. After taste is you guess it vanilla. While mouth feel is medium and it’s carbonation is on the lower side. Overall simple but decent porter.

I’m not normally a Porter Dark drinker, but I especially liked this one. Vanilla aroma and a bit sweet and to my liking.

Pours from a bottle a dark, nearly opaque reddish-brown. Caramel, oak, & vanilla dominate the aroma and flavor, but a little overly sweet. An okay porter.
