Leinenkugel’s Snowdrift Vanilla Porter is a robust and velvety addition to Leinenkugel’s seasonal selection. This porter-style beer is aged on real vanilla to reveal rich layers of caramel, coffee and chocolate that is ideal for the season.

Pours a very dark cola, coffee cream head. Good carbonation. Chocolate aroma with hint of vanilla. Roasted chocolate flavor with vanilla. Fairly unremarkable, slightly bitter chocolate aftertaste with a relatively clean mouthfeel.

Too much vanilla extract make it almost candy like. Pretty easy to drink but balanced well for me.

A very nice palatable beer that goes down easy. Very refreashing, dark, vanilla aroma w/a slight but good aftertaste...great seasonal craft

Rated based on notes taken on 26 Dec 2014 -- Honestly this is my favorite Leinenkugel beer. Decent vanilla porter for sure.

A deep dark body with a creamy head. Aroma is faint, almost nonexistent. Slight coffee and sweetness. Taste is also subtle coffee and and caramel, not much vanilla . Finish is clean, was expecting more.

12oz bottle pours a murky, deep brown with some clumpy, eggshell head. Nose has, well, obviously a whole lot of vanilla, some malt, some chocolate, some pumpernickel bread. Flavor follows, loads of vanilla, molasses, chocolate, bread crust, some cream soda, but mostly lots and lots of vanilla. Full, creamy finish.

black color; sweet vanilla aroma; sweet roasted malt and vanilla flavor on a medium bodied roasted malt base

Black pour. Virtually no head. Slightly bitter taste. Vanilla comes in late. Some toffee too. Not complex. Pretty light for a porter. Not completely offensive but decidedly average.

on tap @ Party Town / Florence KY --- Clear very dark brown, beige head that slowly drops to a head cover, dots and spots of lace. Taste is lightly toasted malt with a bit of vanilla that turns a little bitter on the swallow, and then cruises through a fairly short finish. Agreeable to drink, but somewhat thin and watery, and quite forgettable.
