Pours from a bottle a dark, nearly opaque reddish-brown. Caramel, oak, & vanilla dominate the aroma and flavor, but a little overly sweet. An okay porter.

dark brown to black in color with a very thin off-white head. aroma is primarily bread dough. Flavor is vanilla, bread dough, nuts, and more vanilla on the finish.

This time of year, this is the type of beer I am looking for. I had it on tap and wish I could have had it with dessert instead of a steak, but it was still good. Smooth with a noticeable sweetness it is fairly roasty but not too interesting. This is about the only Leine I even consider buying.

Mild pecan nose. Clear ruby black, medium tan, good lace. Vanilla dominant, kibble underneath. Doughy finish. Medium body, moderate carbonation. Mild residual sweetness that isn’t too off-putting. Good.

HIGHB4LL (837) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - DEC 6, 2014
12 oz. bottle from Cash Wise in Watford. Appearance: finger light brown head that does not last, dark brown to blood red color, good lacing, clear. Aroma: vanilla, roast, chocolate, very light coffee notes, citrus hops on exhale. Palate: full body, average carbonation, very bitter finish, oily carbonation. Taste: sweet caramel and vanilla with slight chocolate malt, into light citrus bitter finish, Overall, pretty drinkable, interesting hop choice for the style, but nothing amazing. Not bad at all either.

Very dark beer, as dark as Coca Cola. Absolutely no foam at the top of this beer as a result of the very minimal carbonation. Dark and creamy after taste and finish. Although it claims to have vanilla, this beer wasn't overly sweet which is a huge positive. Sometimes vanilla can overpower! The underlying aroma and flavor has a slight hint if coffee. Overall this is a decent beer worth trying during the holiday time frame.

Had at porch nite thanks to Raith. Pours dark brown. Vanilla and Chocolate on the notes. A bit lighter bodied. Nice for a macro. Good beer.

While very drinkable, I feel like it’s missing a good roasted malt character. Aroma is on point but flavor is only mediocre. Not bad by any means but nothing to write home about either. The vanilla works out really well.

Bottle. Pours an opaque dark dark brown with a layer of tan head. Aroma and taste of malts and chocolate with a hint of vanilla.
