Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. Aroma- Has a really interesting vanilla bean aroma with malt mixed into the smell. Appearance- Has a great reddish tint with a very small white head. Taste- You can taste the vanilla and malt, I really enjoyed it. Palate- A medium bodied beer with light carbonation. It had an oily texture and didnt have an aftertaste. Overall- An interesting beer, I liked it. I dont think I could sit and pound them one after another but it has a really good unique flavor.

Bottle, pours dark brown with a tan head, slightly bitter chocolate flavor with some coffee and a hint of vanilla, a little thin but better than I expected

Pours a mahogany color with a thin, short-lasting foam head. Aroma is subtle vanilla, caramel, chocolate, and some biscuit. Flavor is lightly sweet vanilla and caramel, with some chocolate. Has a medium, softly carbonated mouthfeel. This is okay, but not near as flavorful as other vanilla porters Ive had.

Narnad (1521) - Crystal Lake, Illinois, USA - NOV 30, 2012
Pours a deep brown with a very nice creamy, dense, tan head. Aroma has a mild nutty nose, light chocolate, light vanilla with some bitter coffee notes at the end. Chocolate malt and vanilla really compliment each other in this brew. Light coffee notes come in late but add only a light bitterness and dryness to the brew at the finish. The malts worked pretty well in delivering a light caramel sweetness with a modest amount of toasted malt kick. Body is surprisingly thick with very fine carbonation to deliver the flavors and aromas. Overall a surprisingly good brew. Brew has the right amount of sweetness balanced with a solid toasted and light bitter malt note. Good winter brew.

Clear deep red with off white head. Aroma of vanilla, banana and a little chocolate. First taste gave me malt, vanilla. Then "rootbeer" came to mind. The finish had a very little chocolate bitter, but left me with a stale taste at the end.

Pours a dark black with light brown head. Has a faint roasted malt aroma, but not strong. A nice mixed taste of vanilla, roasted malt, coffee and chocolate. Aftertaste is similar to a vanilla latte.
