UPDATED: NOV 27, 2015 Transparent pouring porter with a steady, light tan head. The smell doesn’t indicate a lot of vanilla, it almost indicates chocolate . The flavor even starts a little chocolaty and then the vanilla shows up, almost ice cream like. The enthusiasm for this beer wears off and it gets thinner and more boring. Decent but not something I will revisit. tmongoose (2504) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - NOV 8, 2012

12 oz bottle. Pours a solid black. Not much aroma. A nice lacing of head on the top of the glass, and has nice retention. The taste is full of vanilla, especially when served at a warmer temperature. This beer is very flavorful compared to other Leinenkugel's brews.

Bottle to pint. Looks decent; a semi-transparent reddish-brown with fluffy light beige head that slowly dissipates into lacing. Smells of malt and vanilla. Tastes like it smells, but better. Solid on the palate too. This one exceeded my expectations.

Tap. Started out with such potential. Nice brown amber color. Decent head and some lace. Aroma, was wonderful. Oaky vanilla. But the taste was a let down. Blend of favors was really good just weak and watery. twindadplus2 (715) - Wisconsin, USA - NOV 28, 2012
Bottle. Pours a dark walnut brown with ruby highlights and a thin tan head. Aroma is nutty sweetness and roasted malt. Flavor is dark roasted malt, caramel and vanilla lingering all the way through the finish. Medium bodied with light carbonation and an almost syrupy mouthfeel. It’s a good seasonal if a bit overpowering with the vanilla. Suttree (6392) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - NOV 29, 2012
Black, no head. Faint aroma of vanilla and chocolate. Taste is vanilla and chocolate, plus some odd tart notes that seem kind of out of place. I’ve had worse, I’ve had better... Terp1977 (63) - Frederick, Maryland, USA - DEC 2, 2012
Toasty and roasty. A bit much. Decent in the palate. Coffee, chocolate, woody. Decent

Aroma is a sweet chocolate malt. Taste is a little bit of toasted malt with some coffee, vanilla, and chocolate. Overall good just not enough flavor.
