One of those beers you want to not like but you cant really because it tastes like pure summer and when you really think about it thats really what we all want. The feeling of summer without all the bad parts of summer... Like spending all day at a beach slowly crisping into a blistery painful sunburn. Sweating profusely as you stumble your way back to the bar for a 12th beer and maybe just a little shade to sooth your screaming cancer-ridden skin. This is like that but without all the bad stuff.

Pours a cloudy pale yellow with a thick off white head. Very light brew as expected from a shandy. Not much lemon flavor and not much malt flavor either. That said it is a light refreshing beverage that suits a hot summer day.

I think all of Leinenkugels fruit beers are the same: fruity and delicious, but leave you wishing they had something more distinguishing than which fruit is in this particular beer youre drinking at that moment.

Twelve ounce bottle at my sisters house in Northern Kentucky (thanks, Sis!), tasted on July 26, 2015. Very hazy orange/yellow hue, fairly strong lemon nose, palate sensation is mostly carbonation with some lemon. Passable as hot weather refresher but there are better options.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, best before 8/31/2015. Pours hazy bright golden yellow color with a 1-2 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of lemonade, lemon peel, wheat, cracker, light honey, herbal, grass, and light pepper. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of lemonade, pale malt, and light earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of lemonade, lemon peel, wheat, cracker, light honey, herbal, grass, and light pepper. Minimal herbal/spicy bitterness and light fruit tartness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemonade, lemon peel, wheat, cracker, light honey, light herbal/grassy earthiness on the finish for a short bit. Good balance and robustness of lemonade, pale malt, and light earthy hop flavors; with a good malt/bitterness/tartness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness after the finish. Medium carbonation and light-medium bodied; with a very smooth, crisp, and lightly creamy/bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming present after the finish as expected of 4.2%. Overall this is a nice lemonade shandy style. All around good balance and robustness of lemonade, pale malt, and light earthy hop flavors; and very smooth, crisp, and clean to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.

UPDATED: SEP 30, 2015 Medium/light body, haso the profile of a wheat beer, lemoniness, a small bit of possible zest in there too. Clean finish.skunky,

Pretty good for a shandy. Not reminiscent of the typical "hard lemonades" that are disgustingly sweet and artificial. This is just a nice, sweet (but not too much so) refresher for the poolside on a hot day. Lemony citrus flavors throughout.

Bottle, hazy through the bottle. Sweet lemony aroma. More hard lemonade than beer. Okay. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Gedronken in bottles (beschikbaar in fles)

Can on Southwest. Taste is very faint lemon, musky cracker malt, and stale bread. Light body and medium carbonation. Faint aroma of musky grains. Not much to it other than carbonation.
