Bottle 25cl. Deep dark brown with fast fading head. Aroma has fruits but fades quickly too. Taste has nothing to do with the aroma. Bitterness, but not very pleasant. Theres an unusual dryness in the aftertaste.

The dark Leireken, also with buckwheat, also tasted as Leireken Boekweit Bruin. Light beige, mousse-like head, dark chestnut colour, lightly cloudy. Sweetish caramel profile with weak spicy accents and buckwheat sourishness, bit tart, roasted bitter accent in the finish. Could (and should) have been softer to be truly enjoyable.

Een donker bier met een heel bijzondere, uitgesproken smaak. Ik vond het top.

Bottle 25 cl. Pours brown with a fast-fading head and an aroma of sweet fruits, spices, malts, toffee and yeast. This beer is light bodied, a bit sweetness and slight bitterness in the finish. Pretty forgettable beer.

From a bottle. Muddy brown coulour, little to no head. The aroma probably the most promising part - sweet, spicy, raisins. Taste relatively blunt bitter-sweet, leaving rather strange sour after-taste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Brune fonce, effervescence moyenne, col beige. Principalement malte, notes de citron, un peu sche et... cest tout! Quel ennui!

Brune classique, effervescence moyenne, mousse beige fonc. Moyennement malte, un peu trop aqueuse, quelques notes fruites, une petite amertume, impression par moments de boire une blanche fonce! Un paradoxe qui nest pas fait pour me plaire!

Bottle. Tangy fruit, barrel-like notes. Light brown color. Moderately sharp sour initial / settles into light fruit: sweet plums, raisins / finishes with gentle carbonation, sweet malt, and a very slight bit of oxidation. Thin-medium body. Tasty and mild. Okay.

24/VIII/13 - 33cl bottle @ Bierweekend Lambiekstoempers (Alsemberg) - BB: n/a (2013-796) Thanks to T. for sharing todays beers!

Clear dark orange to pale amber beer, whats so "Bruin" about this one? Creamy off-white to yellow head, very stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: very soapy, floral, orange peel, bit of caramel. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: spicy, some honey, brown sugar, bit soapy, citrus. Aftertaste: some caramel, metallic, citrus and soapy. Very mediocre, and Im really being kind here.
