3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle @ The Sister Brussels Cafe: Bio means organic there. Red color with an off-white head. Funky berry aroma with super sweet flavors of lots of berries. Yum! I could have this as juice for my breakfast. nathanvc (646) - Brugge, BELGIUM - SEP 13, 2017
Pours hazy red with a small, frothy, pink head. The aroma contains (sour) cherry, raspberry, strawberry, jam, some herbs and wheat. It tastes heavy sweet and light sour, especially in the short finish. Light body, sticky texture, fizzy carbonation. Getting some wheat and as such, 'bio', in the finish, reminding me of Gauloises Fruits Rouges, but it's still a very sweet Fruit Beer. blackisle (2763) - Amsterdam IJburg, NETHERLANDS - JUN 29, 2017
Bottle 25cl. from a local Odin organic supermarket, poured into a tumbler. Slightly unclear medium amber, tall frothy off-white head, settles slowly, good lacing; aroma cherries, pomegranate, bubble gum, bit wood; taste fruity medium to light heavy sweet and a light bitter touch, cherries, red berries; sweet aftertaste, hint of wood, light spicy notes; light body, watery to sticky texture, soft carbonation; overall quite an artificial feel but drinkable. T: malty, red berries, cherries, raspberries, quite sweet almost syrupy, medium body, medium carbonation, too sweet for me and this kind of beer, 25cl bottle from BIO-PLANET JAMBES supermarket in Namur.

Dark brown red, large head. Leather, red apple, some light cara malts. Refined. Taste starts quite sweet and that remains the overtone, but also a malty base luckily. Ends a touch cloying. It’s not my style, but not so bad as I feared, not at all. (25cl bottle from Prik&Tik Leuven)

25cl bottle at home. Pours a hazy brown reddish colour with a small off white head. Aroma of cherries, caramel, toffee, pineapple, strawberries, raspberries, grenadine, ginger. Taste is very sweet, low bitter with a soft sour finish. Notes of grenadine, cherries, caramel, light malty, raspberries, pomegranate, light spices. Texture is watery to oily, light bodoed woth low carbonation Ysok02 (1771) - Mons, BELGIUM - APR 8, 2016
Robe rosée foncée, mousse moyenne. Nez alliant fruits rouges acidulés, fraise, note lactée. Bouche désagréable qui évoque plus le sirop antibiotique amer que la bière. Insupportable pour moi. kermis (14494) - The Hague / Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - DEC 24, 2014
Bottle sampled at Kulminator. Pours cloudy dull amber. Aroma of urinal cakes, nettles and peas. Flavour is over moderate sweet and a touch acidic. Sickly nastiness in the palate making me feel nauseous. Medium bodied with light carbonation. Overall, terrible. It starts bad with the aroma, but the palate is sickening. Spelt-beer based fruit beer launched after the original Leirekens were restyled (in 2008) and trying to exploit the then-popular trend of combining different "wood fruit" tastes into one beer. This is based on Leireken Witte Spelt and uses six different extracts of red and dark fruits. Light pink head over a deep ruby red, hazy beer. Artificial aroma of red fruit jam, grenadine, pomegranate, elderberry coughing syrup, sour cherry a bit less pronunciated, sourish spelt, some spicy hints (pepper, ginger). Fruit sweet taste, artificial but still on an acceptable level, but sugary cloying, drying in the finish with a light acidity, but everything remains dominated by the fruit extracts. I never liked witbier-based fruit beers and spelt beer to me is usually just a variation on witbier, so... mikske79 (1727) - Puerto Plata, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC - AUG 14, 2014
De minsten van alle Leireken-bieren. Dit was echt absoluut mijn smaak niet.
