On tap at the brewpub. Slightly hazy amber-brown colour, white head. Aroma of toast, light burnt caramel, light nutty. Flavour is medium sweet, toast, burnt caramel, light nutty, quite bitter and dry. Light-bodied. kiwianer (3428) - Otorohanga, NEW ZEALAND - JUN 5, 2012
On Tap @ the brewpub. The head is medium, the body brown and a bit cloudy. It smells malty, darkmalty, a bit hoppy. The taste is darkmalty-sweet, a little bit watery-mild, light and sweet. Overall ok! 9/10/10/9/-/10 sunevdj (4087) - Copenhagen OE, DENMARK - APR 16, 2012
On tap @ Lemke, Berlin. Pours a clear light brown with an off-white head. Smells of malts. Light sweet- and dryness. Lots of caramel malt aromas and hints of brown sugar. Tiny hints of burnt malts aromas. Bit unbalanced maltyness. Leighton (21307) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 1, 2012
Tap at the brewpub. Pours clear, red-brown with a moderate, light tan foam head. Dark malt nose, light caramel, perhaps even some cocoa. Light roast in the nose! (Haven’t encountered much roast in Berlin.) Very, very nice flavor. Good roasty wholegrain bread, some earthy bitterness, light to medium sweetness, toast, toasty sugars, light burnt wood. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Light earthy, roasty finish, mild earthy hops, lingering toast, light cocoa and caramel. One of the best brewpub beers of Berlin. On tap at Brauhaus Mitte in October. Cloudy amber with a lasting off-white head. Grainy malt aroma with notes of chocolate, toffee and caramel, and a lot of DMS. Sweet grainy flavour with caramel. Very brewpub-y

Try the beer sampler at this brewpub, interesting contrasts. The original was by far my favourite of the four that were available. I wish they had a Steinkrug for this, it would have made for an even more pleasureable experience. Martinus (4601) - Baarle-Nassau, NETHERLANDS - NOV 30, 2011
Clear dark brown cola colour, cream colour head. Malty, slightly sweet aroma, yeast and caramel. Sour malts and roasted tones. Sweet malty flavour, light sour tones, some caramel. Bit thin and slightly sticky. Less roasted tones in the mouth than in the nose. Finishes with light hops.

(Draught @ the Brauhaus - Hackesher Markt location)
Draught at the Mitte location. Ruby-amber clear body, lacing white head. Lightly bitter and sticky with mild grains, do like the light roast malt coming through but the caramel is a little off. Only very lightly sweet medium body, hops cleanse the palate. Probably has the most depth of their beers. mattphilips (801) - Budapest, HUNGARY - OCT 18, 2011
Brauhaus Lemke, Berlin.
Beer No. 36 on my tour through Austria, Germany and Denmark.
Draught at the brewpub. Pale amber coloured, small off-white head, caramelish nose. Sweet malty, caramel and mild nutty with notes of hops in the finish. Pretty ordinary and also watery.
