COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The nose will enjoy pepper and gentle roasting aromas such as cocoa and bitter chocolate. After a crisp initial taste, the malt releases more gentle avours. The texture is dry. A subtle acid kick from the roasting aromas leads to the nale: toffee, toast and cocoa notes gently linger. Dominantly malty, slim, dry.

Vom Fa im Brauhaus Lemke, Mitte. Low, dense, egg-shell colored head. Body is foggy, ruby brown. Caramelly malts and some fresh, dark fruits in the aroma. Taste is medium malty, slight peppery and toffee-ish. Also a nice, slight sour berry fruitiness, and some grassy hop notes. Mid-bodied. Dry, chalky in the mouth. Highly drinkable.

Tap sampler tray at the Brewpub Hackescher Markt. Hazy dark amber, nearly brown-ish color with small tan head. Aroma is caramel, bready, earthy, a bit nutty. Taste is bready, nutty, a bit sweet, nearly sticky. A bit messy, but quite nice, although I have to say that I generally like Ambers.

On draught at the brewpub. Brown colour. Light roasty nose with an appley tone. Smooth, oily body. Light roasty, appley flavour with vague notes of chocolate. Slight grassy with coffee hints. Light bitter in finish along with a caramelly touch.

Draught at the brewpub. Hazy amber. Malt nose with tiny notes of strawberry jam. Grassy flavour with notes of tobacco. Well hopped, kind of IPA-like. Rounded mouthfeel and a long finish. Nice bitterness.
