UPDATED: JUL 7, 2007 One of the beers that I tried while at Brauhaus Lemke in Berlin. This is the one I enjoyed most. One of the best beers I’ve ever had. I wish I could find it in America because I would load up on it! drmet (1053) - GERMANY - APR 11, 2016

Try the beer sampler at this brewpub, interesting contrasts. The original was by far my favourite of the four that were available. I wish they had a Steinkrug for this, it would have made for an even more pleasureable experience. Leighton (22820) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 1, 2012
Tap at the brewpub. Pours clear, red-brown with a moderate, light tan foam head. Dark malt nose, light caramel, perhaps even some cocoa. Light roast in the nose! (Haven’t encountered much roast in Berlin.) Very, very nice flavor. Good roasty wholegrain bread, some earthy bitterness, light to medium sweetness, toast, toasty sugars, light burnt wood. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Light earthy, roasty finish, mild earthy hops, lingering toast, light cocoa and caramel. One of the best brewpub beers of Berlin.

Pours a clear dark copper with amber tones with a frothy head. Aroma malts, barley and hazelnuts. Flavor is malts, mild vanilla and raisin undertones with hops to balance. Body is light with high carbonation. ladnewton (2075) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 27, 2009
Draught, at Lemkes Spezialitätenbrauerei, Berlin, on 26th September 2009. Russet red with off-white vanishing head of foam. Some rich malt aromas of biscuit/cookie initially, followed by a highly flavoursome, delicately balanced "focus" of flavour in which a grassy hop is met and matched by a rich cookie malt. The result is a full-spectrum very tasty beer on a zingy, tongue-tickling mouthfeel. This beer stood up very well to the meal of sausage, sauerkraut and German mustard that accompanied it - great stuff!
