Sample at the new brewery taproom. Slightly hazy dark orange color with a thin white head that dissipates quickly to a thin outer ring. Short strings of lacing. Oak, hops and fruit in the nose. Medium to full body with flavors of fruity hops, bourbon and caramel malt. The finish is oaky with a bourbon and hops aftertaste. Pretty good overall. Bomber poured a hazy orange amber with a small lingering amber head. Aromas of bourbon, oak, vanilla, caramel, pine and light citrus. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of bourbon, vanilla, oak, citrus and light pine with a smooth dry bitter lingering bourbon finish. arminjewell (9689) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - SEP 2, 2015
Pour out of 22 oz bottle, thanks Richard! Hazy dark orange red pour with slightly eggshell white head, aroma brought notes of orange, oak, wood, white fruit, hints of earth, spice, some caramel. Taste was a mix of orange, grapefruit, some pine into some wood, oak, vanilla into a bit of booze, finishing fairly bitter. TylerGreenDC (1012) - - APR 20, 2015
Draft. Aroma of applejack. Cloudy bronze cider color. Flavors of apple cider, followed by a quick burst if tart citrus, the sweetness and bitterness of which is moderated by the oaky whisky flavors. No hint of booziness, just a smooth progression of flavors. World-class.

Bottle share thanks to Homer321. Woody, oaky, sweet, hop follows, fruity and some earthy/danky. Lightly cloudy orange color. Flavor mimics aroma. Woody, sweet, hoppy and finishes with some booziness. beechner224 (1024) - Melbourne, Florida, USA - JAN 3, 2015
Bottleshare thanks to homer. Pours orange. Smells like booze, hoppy booze. Taste is sweet, booze, malt. Like the beer, but like zues normal much better. This hints towards a barleywine. Homer321 (5142) - Melboring, Florida, USA - DEC 9, 2014
Bottle thanks to Jess. Pours a slightly hazy reddish orange color with a very small white head. Nose is mostly booze and vanilla with some distinct woodiness to it. Moderate citrus hops in the nose. a light caramel note which I attribute to the spirit. Taste is great vanilla and orange marmalade combination. Light crackery malt. This is great stuff. I need more barrel aged IPAs in my life like this one. IrishBoy (4224) - Bakersfield, California, USA - JUN 12, 2014
