Pure 100% Two-Row brewers malt. A smooth filtered ale with very subtle hop bitterness. Light, Clean, and Refreshing. A perfect solution for those long HOT Bakersfield summer days!

Started off very very good for the style. Grain forward and crisp. Pleasant. Then we let it warm a little and it all went to hell. Good if you get it down fast enough :)

kathouse (1930) - LAS VEGAS, Nevada, USA - SEP 4, 2013
By far my least favorite. Golden and pale as described, but tastes just like a light lager without the clean finish.

brokensail (16633) - Dublin, California, USA - OCT 12, 2012
Pours a clear golden color with a white head. Somewhat bland aroma. Just a sweet malt nose with minimal hops, maybe just a light floral note. A slight biscuit sweetness, too. Tastes fairly grainy and sweet. A touch of biscuit, some bread, and a very mild bitterness. Hints of floral hops and a light honey note.

Sampled on 5/16/2010. This golden ale pours a pale yellow gold color from the tap. Medium sized white foamy head with nice lacing and decent retention. The aroma is fruity and sweet, a touch of grain. A light to medium bodied golden ale. The malts are grainy, fruity and sweet. The hops are slightly spicy. Lively carbonation. Mild flavor. It a brewpub golden ale, no flaws but not a lot of flavor either. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

On tap at the brewpub. Light yelow with a minimal head. Aroma-grassy, yeast, hoppy. Taste-clean, grainy, refreshing. Finishes crisp and malty, with a nice hop balance.

iowaherkeye (2703) - Ocean Beach, San Diego, California, USA - OCT 7, 2009
On tap @ the brewpub. Pale clear yellow with a minimal white head, no retention. Little aroma, though I can pick up on some bready malts, light kilned grain, and a tinge of fruity yeast. Flavor is much the same with what I imagine is some CA ale yeast. Bitternesspeaks at a 1 1/2. Light to moderate prickly carbonation with a light watery body.

nqualls (1452) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - SEP 22, 2008
On tap. Poured a pale gold color with a two finger white head. Aroma of malt. Flavor was fruit with a little malt balance. Decent summer beer, but very lacking in taste and smell.

riversideAK (6261) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - APR 20, 2008
Pale yellow gold. Light grain in the aroma, but it is minimal at best. Flavors are light and fruity. A bit of sweet malt, but it is minimal too. Not much going on except thirst quenching here.

Dogbrick (13518) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - JUN 20, 2006
Sample at the brewpub: Pours clear golden with tiny bubbles and a thin white head. Thin rings of "V"-shaped lacing. Light aroma of hops and fruit. Light-bodied and somewhat crisp with a decent amount of hops and malt flavor, along with a touch of fruit. The finish is hoppy but thin. Decent for what it is - a thirst-quencher.
