ekstedt (6976) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - SEP 26, 2015
Bottle (33 cl) from Systembolaget. CLear pale golden, medium white head. Grainy, sugary, fruity aroma, some butter and vegetables. Light to medium bodied, medium to high carbonation. Semi sweet, low bitterness.

Bottle. Pours a clear straw yellow body with a one finger fizzy white head. The nose not terribly offensive, but it’s not exactly appetizing. Smells like a combo of rice and wet paper with some minimal pale malt thrown in for good measure. The flavor is pretty minimal, just a bit of sweet grain and not a whole lot else Finishes fairly clean at first, but then it lingers on a bit too long and transitions into bland wet paper. Light bodied and watery with fizzy carbonation. Not the best, but at least it’s not offensive.

500 ml can [email protected] 2009, Vatlandsvåg. Pale golden body with a collapsing white head. Mild malty aroma with a feeling of sweet grass! Flavor is very light and kinda sweet with a low, metallic bitterness. No really off-flavors, but extremely boring.

Completely clear coloured body with a light fast-dying white head and no movement. Aroma of pale malt, fake sugars, some cardboard and a bit of water. Light-bodied; Almost nothing discernible in the taste with some fake sugar, cardboard and some light malt noticeable. Aftertaste is bland and subdued - not much going on here, perhaps some metal. Overall, a pretty typical thai lager, with some good measure for the heat, but when enjoyed on this side of the pacific in low temperatures - this isn’t so great. I sampled this 33 cL can (gotta love the writing on top of the can - just as they all do in Thailand) purchased from a grocery store during one of the stops of my honeymoon, in Bangkok, Thailand on 24-August-2009, sampled at home in Washington on 17-May-2010.

Holmen1 (6465) - Stavanger, NORWAY - MAY 31, 2012
0,33 boks, 5%, hjemført av min gode venn Børge: en lys pilsner med lite humle, litt syrlighet. Meget kortvarig slum. Lett å drikke, lett å glemme.

Smells okay. Head is pretty bad. Not as good as the other lagers I had brought back to me from Thailand, but thanks anyway mom.

12oz bottle at Bangkok airport. Bitter lager flavor. Not that good as expected but did the job killing time before a flight

Pyrmir (6210) - Uppsala, SWEDEN - NOV 16, 2012
330 ml bottle. Aroma almost nonexistant, reminding of a standard world pale lager. Taste: syrup addives (corn syrup?) and pale malt. Too sweet to be a good lawn mower. Actually tastes better than I expected thou.
