Håndverkølfestival 2017. Black color with a tan head. Aroma is alcohol, raisin, booze, licorice. Flavor is sweet, alcohol, raisin, fruit, booze, licorice, molasses, coffee, oak, herbs, dark chocolate. Full body. Nice beer, but a little bit boozy.

Intense, super rich, dark chocolate, cacao, dark, moist pralines, sweet coffee. Hazy, very dark brown, tiny, creamy, beige head. Heavy sweet. More super sweet and rich chocolate, dark grain malts, dark molasses, caramel, toffee, chocolate cake, sticky texture, soft carbonation, full bodied. Outstanding Impy, wouldn't have thought it's 17.5 ABV. Keg at IMBC17, Manchester.

rxeight (3218) - Illinois, USA - SEP 23, 2017
Draft taster at CBC Boston 2017. Black with a half finger of tan head. Dark roasty malt, very European. Dar chocolate, campfire, dog. Lots of chocolate bitterness. Big, heavy, chewy body.

Tasting at SF, Vancouver
Black color, no head, oily. Mild aroma, beyond the alcohol there is hazelnuts, roasted nuts, light liquorice. Full bodied, oily; very nice chocolate flavor, hints of liquorice, tar, hints of berry juiciness; sugars stick on the lips.
Very nice drink.

fiery1 (1561) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - SEP 20, 2017
330ml bottle @ the office. Pours an opaque block with a thin beige head. Nose is cocoa and booze. Flavour is sweet molasses and soy sauce with a somewhat roasty/toasty malt not quite bitter finish. Interesting and smooth.

3.7
Ferris (16274) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - SEP 20, 2017
Bottle - Molasses and dark sweet chocolate. Jet black brown with a small white head. Sweet dark malts and a long finish. Dark and sweet, heat and little bitterness.

3.9
Oakes (18517) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - SEP 20, 2017
Dark brown. No head. On the nose, it's rich and tarry. Soft, sweet, molasses, tarry, and burnt dates. Alcohol is actually masked. Sweet, some soft tarry notes, and this is a nice brew, with dates. To me, it's okay.

3.6
mcberko (18557) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - SEP 20, 2017
330mL bottle, pours black with a small beige head. Aroma is loaded with soy sauce, followed by roast, some cocoa and booze. Loads of soy sauce characterizes this. Oily palate. Fun stuff.

4.4
weordie (1352) - Tyne & Wear, ENGLAND - SEP 17, 2017
Pours black with a cocoa head. Strong cocoa powder aroma with a hint of the alcohol hit ahead. Really smooth. Boozy currants, chocolate, sweet milk. A phenomenal beer.
