COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Doing what they do best, our friends at LERVIG brewed a stout specifically for this blend with our Oude Lambiek. After it had spent some months in Cognac barrels, they blended the Lambic in. This blend was then matured in Akevitt barrels.

Exactamente lo prometido, nada más y nada menos! Arranca con notas torrefactas, ácidas y a frutos rojos. Entretenida, entre cacao, licor y coñac, eminentemente ácida.

huineman (719) - Madrid, SPAIN - AUG 2, 2017
33 cl bottle at Billie’s, Antwerp. Pours blazing jet black with no head at all. Aroma is intense indeed: sour black fruit (blackberry, bilberry); coffee, leather, tobacco, wormwood. Mouth starts with a very low carb feel and a super high sourness (so much it seems as though it didn’t have a full body, even though it does.) Low bitterness. Long-lasting finish with hints of coffee and green apple. Different and interesting.

Bottled 330ml (Etre-Gourmet)
Opaque colour, small brownish head. Toasted, cellary, a bit tart aroma. Medium to full-bodied. Expected roasted malty meets lambic sourness mix. Can’t trace Akevitt but apple fruityness from cognac barrel. Stout/lambic-combo works suprisingly well.

RBESG 2017, sampled on July 23, 2017.
At Olutravintola Pikkulintu, Helsinki.
From bottle 33 cl at 8.5%.
Black color, brown head. Vinegar, sour, wood, acidic, roasted scent. Sour, acidic, acetic, berries taste. Sour, roasted aftertaste. Warming alcohol. Medium and fizzy mouthfeel, low bitterness.
Black acidic and acetic beers just taste a lot like infected failed beers, also not to my liking since the roasted malts and the acidity clashes.
